| My sources tell me that this year the Camp Jeep Summer Event will be help on July 24, 25, 26th. Their sight has not been determined yet, and they have not posted anything on the internet, but as I find thing out, I will pas it on for those of you interested in attending, specially those who are interested in being guides, spotters, whincher or assist.
The selection process is done by lottery from the volunteers. You must have a Jeep that is both street legal and has a tag, you will be driving on state roads. It's fun, gives you an opportunity to represent the club on a grand scale, allows you to teach others what you learn from trail driving, spotting and winching. In other words its your time to shine. That's how I got involved with creating this club. I liked teaching the sport. So be on the look out if you are interested, see www.jeep.com and look for the camp jeep link. _________________ MRR-Founder/President Mid-Atlantic-FWDA-Vice President Sales Rep for Adams Suzuki/Used Cars-n-Trucks Cell 443-865-0504 myspace.com/marylandrockraiders |

| Guys, this conversation began with information about the Camp Jeep thing, how did we get it highjacked into the Jamboree?
I appreciate the information but most of the stuff our members would like to know has been posted on the calander of events on the web page. I will add the current info to keep it current. Thanks Bill. _________________ MRR-Founder/President Mid-Atlantic-FWDA-Vice President Sales Rep for Adams Suzuki/Used Cars-n-Trucks Cell 443-865-0504 myspace.com/marylandrockraiders |

| Not really. The Jeep Jamboree is more for territorial events, where as the Camp Jeep event is once a year to gather a bunch of new Jeep and old Jeep owners alike to experience the off road world under a controled managed program that does not promote damges but rather just a tste of what we do in real time trail ridding. With Camp Jeep you pay for one driver and a vehicle, but you can bring upto as many people as you have seats in your Jeep. They have activites for all ages young and old alike, cannoning, hiking, archery, golfing, obsticle courses and things like that. Sponsored by Chrysler Jeep and other venders.
Jeep Jamboree is a scale larger more consintrated to actual real time off road driving, driving through natures wilderness, camping in the enviroment for the weekend, most of the food is provided for in the evening and nice camp fires. But their cost is greater than Camp Jeep, because you pay per person rather than per vehicle.
So I guess the real diference is cost and results. _________________ MRR-Founder/President Mid-Atlantic-FWDA-Vice President Sales Rep for Adams Suzuki/Used Cars-n-Trucks Cell 443-865-0504 myspace.com/marylandrockraiders |

| Ok here you go. I called Jeep at 877-CAMP-JEEP to see if they’d talk about the location/dates. The person I spoke to confirmed that Camp Jeep 2008 will be in the Blue Ridge Mountains (Virginia) again this year, from Thursday July 24 2008 to Saturday July 26 2008. _________________ http://www.mymudspace.com/Rockn93yj |

| Great, thank for that info and follow up. I guess we can talk about it more at Gills party, among other things. I found out that I will require surgery for my hernia sometime in February, that will put me out of wheeling for several months, 6 to 8 weeks out of work too. Man, getting old sucks! I hope you all never have to go through what I had to so far. Looks like I will be selling my Grand Cherokee to raise some funds to carry me for dpown months too.
Thanks again Bill. _________________ MRR-Founder/President Mid-Atlantic-FWDA-Vice President Sales Rep for Adams Suzuki/Used Cars-n-Trucks Cell 443-865-0504 myspace.com/marylandrockraiders |
