I have sent out a email to some of the past members that I could locate email addresses to. I would like to ask all members to help with contacting anyone that is interested in our club or past members that you might still have contact with. We have started to make great changes to open this club up to the membership and we would love to have past members renew.

Hello,
I would like to introduce myself to those of you that I have not personally met. I am Matt and I was currently voted in as the 2009 President of the Maryland Rock Raiders. Some of you might already know and others might not but we have just voted in a board of directors for MRR.

I am sending you this email today hoping you will consider joining back with the Maryland Rock Raiders for the 2009 season. We as a board have taken on the mission of bringing MRR to the next level as a major participant in the offroading community. Tico has done tremendous things with this club in the past and has graciously handed the control of the club over to his new board members.

Our first goal of 2009 is to acknowledge the past membership that has not renewed. We as a board have a mission to listen to every current member and make some needed changes to ensure we consistantly renew as many members each year as we can. The five member board will work as a team and bring every concern or thought given to us by the membership and vote to make changes that will accomadate every member and move this club to levels we have only spoken of in the past.

I hope you will take the time to visit our forum and meetup and consider joining for the 2009 season. We need feedback and participation in making this mission a success.

If I can in any way answer any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to ask. I look forward to hearing from as many past members I can possibly contact and hope to see you on the trails in the future.

Very Nice letter Matt, of course I have all past and present members e-mails, I will send you that information soon. Just be looking for the info on your e-mail box.

Don't forget that within the Association you also have a huge resource to tap into and everyone is ready to help you and the New Board. I am excited for the club and to see what new developments come of it. I am always available; in fact they tell me I'm like a walking resource of information most of the time. Hahahahaha....

I got to tell you, I have being experiencing withdrawals form not getting traffic on the e-mail or otherwise.... Now I got to get things done around the house…

Dont worry Tico.. the board members have been in contact today and we are trying to get organized. We have emailed back and forth alittle about getting participation from EVERYONE...

We are planning a meeting between the board members JUST to get organized before we schedule a actual board meeting where EVERYONE will be invited..

I am not worried, just board....
