Found the color for my new CJ

I just cant find a name for it. the jeep is the "rubicon King" concept vehicle from Chrysler for the SEMA show in 2006. Anyone who knows the color name please let me know.

Brake line replacement HELP!

We have been noticing a slight leak on the passenger side front brake line. Where the line meets the hose. We have also discovered a leak further up the line as well. After a very slight turn of the flare nut wrench, the brake line crumbled into a rusty mess at the connection.

Our question is: how hard is it to replace the front brake lines on the 1983 CJ7??

Started work on the CJ7 that has been sitting in my basement for the last 6 months. The drivetrain is reclined too much , belly pan dropped too much rear pinion turned up too much etc. so lots of problems to work through but it's clean and everything is just about new. Today I removed the exhaust, put my old YJ seats in the CJ since I stole the racing seats for the rock crawler. by the way the seats bolted right in. ALso removed the exhaust at the header and all the way back. ALso removed ...

I have a CJ5 with a good three speed and 2 dana 20 T-cases, need 6-3 bell housing.

I also have a bell housing and 2 4 speeds but no T-case.

I also have a Round to Texas adapter for the Dana 300, have no Dana 300 T-case

I am trying to put togeather a solid CJ5 for my Daughter.

I can buy the bell housing from 4WDparts for about 300 new but I have extra parts and a used bell housing works just as well.

I am looking for a set of 35x12.50x15's with decent tread; (50% or better). Like most eveyone I have a limited budget; would like to stay at $300 or less. I am also looking for a set of American Racing, AR-23's; 15x8 or 15x10 w/5 on 4.5 pattern for a YJ. (Cheap)

Ok so while the gas was drying on the CJ motor Ryan and Nester helped to realign the power steering pulley. It no longer squeels at idle but I will have to take it for a test run through the neighborhood. Hopefully it will fix the problem of the belt being thrown every time the motor gets wet. Next on the list:

1. 9" currie rear axle tube is leaking out the drivers side again. I'm gonna take it apart and see if it needs a new seal or something.

2. Thump in drivetrain and clutch ...

At first when I saw this I thought it was a waste. Why would anybody put a lot of money into a 30. but the more I read about them and the more I thought about how much a 44 cost. Its a pretty good idea. the Reid knuckle replaces the stock knuckle and allows you to to run d44 outters. So you get rid of the weak unit bearing, weak outer shafts, and the weak knuckles. now you are still left with the 760x joint, but that is the same size as a 44. Nester, Paul, Chris(monster S10) and myself ran the new trail today jus finished yesterday what a blast that is in my opinion the hardest trail RC has to offer and we will run it again it is very technical and dont expect to exit without any dents Nester lost windshield frame complete top, Paul just rearanged his entire XJ the s10 exo took a beating and I lost windshield frame and hood has new dent But I have to say it was one of best days ever.....

okay went to the stealership today to get some warrenty work done and asked them about changing the trannyfluid. I told the guy that I all ready had the filter and asked if they could use that seeing I had purchased it from them. he then informed me that they didn't need it because what they do is hook up a machine and suck out all the fluid and that the only time it needs to be changed is when it clogs to the point of fluid not getting thru. Well were about one month out now so I figured we should get a thread going so we all know who will be there. As of now I have to say that the new will rig will not be ready in time for the event so were going to just run the little zj. This means i'll be sticking to the trails that are the equvilant of the blues @ RC. I'll be heading down sometime friday evening if anyone wants to tag along. Dana 44 steering setup?

Okay guys time for the next question on my future setup.

So I'm going to be installing the Dana 44 front soon in the YJ. The question is do I need to do a high steer setup? I'm leaving it Spring under Axle and I'm pretty sure its not going to need a high steer setup. Thats what I'm thinking anyway because a high steer setup will just get in the way of the flex. I'm also trying to figure how to work my tie rod-drag link setup. So ideas and pictures will help a lot. Thanks guys.

Well I marked the first of the new year by starting the task of building the new grand. My goal is to have this one running for Big dogs and finshed by the time the york jeep show hits. I'm looking to win the spot for most capable/decent looking rig in the unibody division. This is what I got to work with, not bad for $250.

The drive line is pretty much shot with 235,000 miles on it. Though it can still get around on its own power. To fix this I plan on rebuilding the motor in the wrecked ...

What a great day. Finally got to put the XJ through its abilities. Todays trip was probably the least amount of mileage put on during a wheeling day but turned out to be one of the best days on the trail I have had.

My buddy Todd and I met up with Chris Lloyd and his buddy Joe and we headed out to Rausch. The day looked like we were going to be wet all day but by the time we got the rigs unloaded and to the comp course the day was looking up. Chris and Joe practiced for a few hours ...

Putting the feelers out for my brother-in-law to be. He's looking for a solid dependable yj/tj stock to piss around in as a DD etc. I'm gonna throw this out there to see if anyone has a line on a good deal so he's not just paper hunting. *Must be FI.

He doesn't care about 4 or 6cyl, and manual is fine. Prefers a soft top, but again, dependable is key...

Let me know what you got or know of, and his budget is $4-$5k max.

Paul T, Mark and his son Josh, my wife and I just got back from the United Wheelin down in Oak Ridge Va. Weather was fantastic - high 70's and just a small rain Saturday Am. Nice mellow trails with a couple challenges. United did a good job. The caterer was the worse but luckily I wasn't there for the food. Figured I'd share pictures that my wife and I took.

Who ever didn't make it this past weekend mist out. It was a great couple of days.

Saturday the weather was great, and we hit many many trails. Some fairly easy while others were extremely difficult. I finally got to see what my jeep could do, and I was pretty impressed. Of course not without the help of Greg and Doug. Both were great teachers showing me how it is done.

Sunday the weather wasn't as good, but we still managed to get some good riding in. Russ got a bit of trail rash ...
