| Okay just got word that the tube bender should be here around the second week of march Heres the tube bender I went with.
As for work on the jeep, it has come to a grinding holt do to the weather. Though I did have some time to finish one of the frame stiffners/ LCA mount. The holes in the sides are for plug welds.
Also I got my brackets in from BTF and the damn things were defective. The cut marks were off by a little so the tabs would not go in. After calling them they said that sometimes it happens when the torches get old and that they would send me some new ones next week. Alwell I guess that works seeing that the weather sucks outside anyway. They should be here tuesday or wed. of this week.[img] _________________ "A yahoo made dangerous with power tools" |

| okay, today is the day I get the rear suspension put in. I'm tired of looking at it on jack stands so i know the neibors have to be getting a little irritated also. I got the other box cut out and holes put in it with a plasma torch in 15 min compared to the 2 hrs it took me with a a sawzaw and drills. All I have to to say is that plasma is the shiznit, Bill you are the man If anyone wants to swing by i'll be here all day and probly most the day tomorow working on the jeep. I cant believe I got about a month to get this thing together and begin to test it. BECAUSE REMEMBER PEOPLE WE HAVE LESS THEN TWO MONTHS TILL BIG DOGS _________________ "A yahoo made dangerous with power tools" |

| Joe, I was following the cage build of a guy in another club and Lt Dan said something that made good sense with trying to weld the top of the cage without setting the interior ceiling on fire.
"for the easiest way to weld it use a holesaw to cut holes that will let you drop the cage through the floor so that you can get the top as well, after you complete the upper welds you raise the cage , and then weld your footplates in place." |

| actually thats a good idea to get a full bead all the way around. I'm not to worried about setting anything on fire inside because everything has been gutted down to the metal _________________ "A yahoo made dangerous with power tools" |

| All right got the jeep back down on all four tires. Some of the welding needs to be finished up but the majority of it is finished.

Now when I put the jeep back down on the ground I relized I had a problem in that the damn thing sets level without the motor and arb. I didn't relize the the brackets in the back were going to give me 2" - 3" more lift. I relize once I put all the gear in it will drop a 1" or so but i'm still going to have to run some spacers up front to level it out some. so i'm guessing this is going to put me around 7" to 8" of lift wich is about right with 36" tires seeing I was rubbing pretty good at full flex at 6" _________________ "A yahoo made dangerous with power tools" |

| Joe, I'm heading to PG county this weekend to work on the YJ.... I have to get it out of my parents driveway and send it through emissions soon. If I get back to Baltimore while its still daylight I'll stop over to supervise! _________________ '01 TJ 4.5" RE, 35" MTs, Aussie up front '91 YJ - has to be towed everywhere rig |
