| Are you concerned about the chevy spring rate being too great? Great to hear you are able to finally tear into that thing. must have been your destiny to do this. |

| Hey guys I have been working on the Toy with Ryan for the last couple of weeks. We are almost ready to mount up the rear springs. I was thinking about stretching the wheel base cause thats what we do with Jeeps. I was checking with some tech write ups on the pirate and other sites and can't find out if the stretch is a good idea or not. The stock wheel base is 102". I do plan on moving the front axle 2" forward. So with out moving the rear I will be at 104". My question is should I even think about moving the rear back. The bed is gone and I only plan on having a tool box, propane tank and spare tire on the back. I'm thinking leave it close to stock location. Any input would be a great help. Thanks _________________ 94YJ Tera low 4:1, 4:10's, HP D44 front locked, 8.8 rear locked, 37" Truxus M/T's, custom spring over front/spring under rear, along with other stuff (Trail rig) 00WJ open/open, lifted 31" MTR's (curbcrawler) 84 Toyota Pickup open front, welded rear, 63" chevy rear springs, propane injection, 37" mtr's, 4.7:1 Tcase 07 FORD E350 SD (TOW VAN)

| When Mike did Pats he used chevy springs on back and rear toy springs on front, Mike did say it was a pain in the ass But it seems to flex good. I will give you one suggestion put as little money in it as poss that makes it a ton of fun cuz you dont care about it. _________________ 92 YJ (TRAIL TESTED) 93 ZJ my Daily Driver NO DRAMA OR POLITICS

| the wheel base depends on what its going to be doing. Ie rock crawling and hill climbs longer is better. If your going to be doing mostly east coast trail riding smaller is better due to the tight turns and trees. _________________ "A yahoo made dangerous with power tools" MARR step up or step out Who me? | 102 should be fine for an all purpose trail vehicle regardless of toy or jeep. |

Everything I have listed still has the budget so far under 1000 bucks. _________________ 94YJ Tera low 4:1, 4:10's, HP D44 front locked, 8.8 rear locked, 37" Truxus M/T's, custom spring over front/spring under rear, along with other stuff (Trail rig) 00WJ open/open, lifted 31" MTR's (curbcrawler) 84 Toyota Pickup open front, welded rear, 63" chevy rear springs, propane injection, 37" mtr's, 4.7:1 Tcase 07 FORD E350 SD (TOW VAN)

I was thinking the same but once I put the rear springs up front I will have 104" which should set me stright for the 1 ton running gear that I want to put under it. _________________ 94YJ Tera low 4:1, 4:10's, HP D44 front locked, 8.8 rear locked, 37" Truxus M/T's, custom spring over front/spring under rear, along with other stuff (Trail rig) 00WJ open/open, lifted 31" MTR's (curbcrawler) 84 Toyota Pickup open front, welded rear, 63" chevy rear springs, propane injection, 37" mtr's, 4.7:1 Tcase 07 FORD E350 SD (TOW VAN)

| 104 will be the final number. Its a 102 at the moment till I move the front axle forward 2". I went a little long cause I'm thinking about going with 60 front and 14bolt rear once I get the doubler 2.8:1/4.7:1 transfer case done. Oh yeah the propane is hooked up and running. Runs better on propane than it did with gas and the carb. _________________ 94YJ Tera low 4:1, 4:10's, HP D44 front locked, 8.8 rear locked, 37" Truxus M/T's, custom spring over front/spring under rear, along with other stuff (Trail rig) 00WJ open/open, lifted 31" MTR's (curbcrawler) 84 Toyota Pickup open front, welded rear, 63" chevy rear springs, propane injection, 37" mtr's, 4.7:1 Tcase 07 FORD E350 SD (TOW VAN)

| I'm installing a steering box out of a 88 4 runner which will mount to a mounting plate that I'm going to either buy from marlin, trailgear or fab myself. When you use the stock toyota rear springs in the front it moves the font axle 2" forward and the steering box then has to be moved forward to line up with the steering hardware. Most guys end up having to cut away part of the radiator support when doing this. I have done a ton of research and aside from the high steer hardware, IFS box mount and the power steering cooler. I already have the power steering pump, IFS box, resivor, pump mounting bracket and hoses from a 88 4 runner that I have had sitting in a box for a year waiting for my lazy ass to get moving. This next step will be slow because I want to rebuild the front axle with all new seals bearings and brakes. At the moment the plan is to rebuild to prep for the 30 spline longfields and a locker (maybe something selectable). But I have been thinking of selling the toyota axles to John for his Sami and getting a set of chevy 60's. either way the project is really starting to shape up and I'm just happy to see progress in my little 1 car garage. Pictures will be up soon. _________________ 94YJ Tera low 4:1, 4:10's, HP D44 front locked, 8.8 rear locked, 37" Truxus M/T's, custom spring over front/spring under rear, along with other stuff (Trail rig) 00WJ open/open, lifted 31" MTR's (curbcrawler) 84 Toyota Pickup open front, welded rear, 63" chevy rear springs, propane injection, 37" mtr's, 4.7:1 Tcase 07 FORD E350 SD (TOW VAN)

| I'm going to stick with the Toy axles for the next year or two. I'm not sure what the next phase will bring. I might cut it all up and use the parts and drivetrain in a moon buggy. _________________ 94YJ Tera low 4:1, 4:10's, HP D44 front locked, 8.8 rear locked, 37" Truxus M/T's, custom spring over front/spring under rear, along with other stuff (Trail rig) 00WJ open/open, lifted 31" MTR's (curbcrawler) 84 Toyota Pickup open front, welded rear, 63" chevy rear springs, propane injection, 37" mtr's, 4.7:1 Tcase 07 FORD E350 SD (TOW VAN)
