so maybe the RCI 2161 fuel cell from summit?

http://www.tombraiderjeep.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=1&pos=4

Length (in): 30.000 in.
Width (in): 9.000 in.
Height (in): 12.000 in.

it is commonly used in the YJ and don't know if it will work but though I'd throw it out there.

If you are going to reuse the stock sending unit the hight of the tank has to be the same as the stock tank or atleast close. not sure what the sending unit looks like in a zj but you might be able to use one of these http://kore4x4customs.com/asccustompages/products.asp?categoryid=15

Hmmm i was trying to keep the length under 24" but 30" may just fit in between the roll cage on the right side. Now how does this thing work, do I use my current pump or does it come with one?

nester as for the welder its grasons, it runs off a 220v so it lays alot better bead on the thicker stuff.

The one that bill posted is the one that I am useing. The sending unit sits about a 1 1/2 above the bottom but it hasn't been a problem.

the sending unit is the exact same as the 4.0 except for an extra vent hole on top the pump.

All right let me just point out to everyone that tube bending sucks. It really sucks when you have off camber bends, maybe sucks is to nice of a word. After this weekened I can really see why people just loose it and begin to kill people. After 8 hrs and one vice later I came up with this

This is the second harbor freight vice I broke, I finally got wise and went to home cheapo and got a real vice.

Day two I got I got the cross tubes in but i'm not sure if i like were the A bar ended up. I'm kind of worried in a roll over that the top of the wind shield could take a hit.

I really want to move the a bar down some to protect the windshield but it creates a but load of probs with trying to bend the pipe to clear the top of the windshield and be level for the x comming from the b pillar. Is it worth the effort of moving it forward or should I just leave it were it is for now.

It looks good Joe. I the duct tape idea also there is always welding up your own windshield frame and running plexy or lexan glass.

lol! you would be surprised how much stuff is held together in the military by duct tape. But after looking at it I decided i'm just going to man up and bend a piece of tube to fit lower down on the windshield.

all right got some more done even with the rain and cookout. I pulled out the vic and fbaricated a plate that bolts back into its place giving a place to mount all the electric switches for various things.

also got a chance to tie in the d pillar to the unibody.

give you an idea how thin the old floor was compared to the one I welded in.

its always a good day when the ups man stops by

looks like i'll have a 19"x19" area to mount a waterproof box in between the fuel cell, winch, and OBA tank

with as much captain as i drink you think they would sponsor my jeep with a little more.

thanks matt for the link. I went ahead and order the ring today so it should be here by next monday sdsfhhgdigdhfo One thing that was metioned to me was that on my 95 5.2 motor the fuel pump regulation is controled in the pump were as in a 93 to ealy 95 the fuel was regulated in the rail thus having a return line. So in order to make the external pump work I would of had to swap in a earlyier version 5.2 fuel rail. With big dogs around the corner i don't think i'm going to have time to do all that.
