You know when it comes to hanging out with you guys I really wish that I lived in MD. I feel like I miss out all the time. Well I will try to make it up there to hang out for a little bit.

Well after a few hours and many dirty looks later from the neighbors me and danny got the motor pulled.





As for working on the jeep I'm not sure what I'm doing, but if you still want to stop over and drink a couple of beers let me know.

This quesstion is going to sound kind of stupid but learning the whole motor swap thing as I go. From what I can gather this is the computer for the motor.


If this is the case I have a 95 zj v8 sitting down at the yard. I allways thought the computer was under the dash were they had a buch of wires hanging down, so I assumed that they ripped it out before I bought it. So hell If I can swap this motor in I fix two probs in one shot. A shot motor and tranny. Both of which work off the donor jeep.

Yes it is indeed the computer or PCM. Somehow it attaches to the fuse box and all those wires under the dash.

cool, I guess now it looks like i'm going to have to tear out the dash and figure out how they all connect. No prob danny I appreciate the help, Now I guess the next step is getting the v8 out of the red jeep. This should be interesting because we can cut off what ever gets in our way

well I'll be pulling the motor out of the rolled jeep tomorow Whats really going to hurt is when I begin to cut it up to get the long arm kit off

sorry danny I was on the clock. the boys with the shop above said I could use it. Cool thing is that they have a overhead crane, bad thing is that they said I had only 4 hours to use it before they had to leave. Sorry no pics but I got the job finished and tools out the door with 8min to spare. Tell you what danny that crane made a huge difference being able move the engine around smoothly instead of jerky. Also I pulled the entire driveline in one shot instead of pulling TC off first. Don't worry danny we still have one more engine to pull. The v8 out red zj and thats the one that going to be a pain because were going have to lable everything and make shure we don't break anything on the way out. I only broke one sensor on the motor I just pulled No prob on that steel Nester, just let me know if need some more and i'll see what i can do for you. I'm going to talk to the scrap man next time I see him and see if he could find me some large plates for fabbing up some skids. I'll just tell him I'll trade him twice the weight in other scrap steel. hmmm I knew those bent plow frames would come in handy for something. Just goes to show you I'm not a pack rat after all, I do find uses for all that all crap.

Yeah thats a lot of crap. But most of it looks like it has use you just need a bigger lot of a shop to keep it in.
