NEW TRIP-Muddy Run Raceway on Sunday, May 20, 2007

I am planning a trip to Muddy Run Raceway on May 20, 2007 for their "Spring Mud Fling". It is about 3 hours away from Frederick in Smoke Run, PA. If anyone is interested in coming along we can go together as a group or perhaps even carpool. No, I will not be taking the jeep. Admission is $12 adults and $6 kids age 6-12. i would like to run the jeep if it is done.and i have time. is is there a reg. or do you just show up early, also how much more to run in the event, ALSO is anyone having prob. going to the muddy run link. i am

Von, it looks like their web site is down for the moment. There is a registration procedure that they detailed on the web site as well. Might want to think twice about this. These guys launch off a ramp and into the middle of a 4' deep puddle brining them to a sudden stop. better do a lot of waterproofing. I'll keep tryin the link now and then and let you know more.

I just realized how far away this place is. It's not too far from where I used to live & will take me about 4 hours to get there. I won't drive 4 hours unless it's to go wheeling. Besides, if I am driving that close to Pittsburgh Dave will want to go & then make me go to see the in-laws. So..if someone is going that wouldn't mind taking me with them, I'll go but other than that - forget it.

My idea was to carpool. We could meet in frederick or hagerstown. Mine will hold the wife and kids and 4 more people. If interested let me know. We could take turns driving etc. Makes for a better event with more people going. Web side is back up.
