Changed to Sunday 1/27 - I will be hosting a club get together / chilli feast at my house. We've been talking about the need for a club meeting and non-trail get together so I figure beer and chili - that hits it for me!

We can build on an open house from 3pm-9pm. Chili and whatever the grill will work is the menu. I'm located in Severn by Ft. Meade off 175 by Arundel Mills mall. I'll post directions and parking later. Please post who's interested so I can make sure we got plenty of whatever.

Awesome! Make it a strong possible for me. Is this a family friendly gathering? Just need a place for the kids to play or arrange for sitter. Should be plan on bringing something to share? We can do whatever...bring grill stuff or side or I can make the famous "bottom of the barrel gangs heat wave chili".

Bottom of the barrel chili?! Sure - I figure a couple of kinds of chili would be great. As people PM or respond we can build on it as to what others can bring if they want.

As for kids - I dont mind them, have a couple of my own but they are grown. I'll leave it up to you. I have a townhouse with a deck. Not sure what I have for kid entertainment but the small backyard is the dogs (they will be taken care of for the party) but we do have a ok size common area behind us and if the weather is good theres space to toss a ball and play. Theres also a TV downstairs in my sons room if they want to break off from the adults.

I'm really looking forward to this - I think it would be nice to have the group together outside of the creek.

You are right T - the original was 8th but thats superbowl so I did the edit message to move it a week earlier. In light of your email maybe this would be a good time for people to relax, have a few brew and talk about the future of the group. Or we could just eat chili and act out scenes from Blazing Saddles. I dont care - i just like good times and the people.

hey just wanted to shed a light on the location -- the address is 7908 heather mist dr, severn 21144 for mapquest. park on disney rd, since I'm the first set of town houses on the left on the corner od disny and heather msit. i'll park the tj and xj on disney so you can see where to find the spot.

Thank you for your gesture and commitment to hold a general meet and greet at your house. This is highly appreciated, I think a home environment lends to our clubs brotherhood that we are a family of close friend’s not just club members. I am particularly appreciated because my house is too small to hold such festive situations, hell, if I have more than 3 people at home aside from myself and family I have a full house. So thank you again.

Addressing the membership:

This function has been sanctioned by the club and your participation is requested for maximum participation club direction, but most of all it is a fun meeting. I don’t want to make this a long dragged out discussion. I rather have fun chatting and meeting a lot of you out there. So if you are a reader, rather than a writer, come to the party, if you are a writer come too, if you do neither come join us. But make sure you are a paid member of the club!

If you want to bring a dish to add to the food entre, please do, if you want to bring snacks, beer or sodas. Let’s have a great time!
