| This Saturday (the 27th) is the Polar Bear Plunge to benefit the MD Special Olympics at Sandy Point St Park. My brother-in-law and I are jumping in. Anyone else interested in taking the plunge? Here is a link to the site:

I signed up for "Team Amelia" from 98 Rock if anyone wants to join the same team. If you want to carpool I'll pull the top off and drive us there  :face: |

| Man, I give you all the credit in the world. A couple weeks ago when we had all that wind the gunpowder river came up extremely high. I looked out back and the water was at the bottom of my buddy's boat which is on my boat lift. I had to wade out onto the pier and tie some ropes from the boat to the lift just in case it rose any further. The water was just to my knee's and it took my breath away. I dont think I could take it jumping in totally... _________________ Best Quote "BACK UP, TAKE THE SKIRT OFF AND DRIVE" ---taken from KGB/CREEPER member.

| How long do you have to stay in the water? If it's not too long I'll consider it. _________________ Black 93YJ, 4.0L manual, SOA, 4.56 9" Currie rear with ARB locker, 36" Super Swamper TSLs, WARN 9000, Race Craft seats with 4 point harnesses, & full custom cage.

| This is what the website says about it. I've never done an organized thing like this. I've jumped in the Ocean in February a few times - but it wasn't anything official. Right now it looks like myself, greg, my dad and Katherine my 98 rock friend. It should be fun. 5,000 ppl have already registered! Q: How far do I have to go into the water to qualify as having Plunged/Dunked? A: How far you go into the water is a function of your own personal comfort. As a matter of safety, we do not recommend that participants wade in past chest-level, and we do NOT allow folks to stay in longer than five minutes. Beyond that, we leave it up to the individual participant to decide if he or she would like to just get their toes wet, or go for it! |

The Last thing I remember I was flying over winch hill and now all of a sudden I apparently volunteered to jump in ice cold water |

| Well, I was thinking about it because I've always wanted to but it's probably not the best thing for me to do right now. Dave has been sick for awhile & is getting better but still coughing. Mike, on the other hand, is much worse than Dave (throwing up & everything :pale: ). Soooo, since I'm trying not to get whatever the 2 of them have, doing something that will probably weaken my immune system is not too smart. _________________ Black 93YJ, 4.0L manual, SOA, 4.56 9" Currie rear with ARB locker, 36" Super Swamper TSLs, WARN 9000, Race Craft seats with 4 point harnesses, & full custom cage.

| Here are some pics from the event: It was about 45 degrees and the sun helped keep things warm. We did about 5 total plunges in the bay. My toes were a little chilly, but it would have been much worse yesterday. We had a blast and raised $100 for MD Special Olympics. My Bro-in law, Greg, my friend Angie and me after the plunge:
