I have the purple bar in mine and I believe it adds strength to my cage back there. As long as you don't have any other bars back there, you should be able to get your cooler in without a problem.

What about two angled bars from top bar to the rear bars. like a gusset? Then you could get away from the "purple bar" Just a thought looks good.

I have those too and they are a pita if you do it from the center of the top down to the side bars. It really limits what you can get in and out of the back.

Worked the whole weekend but didn't seem like I got a whole lot done. got the seats mounted (not sure if I'm happy with the passanger side) and started on the belly skid. I probably won't get the door bars and some cross bars in before the weekend but it should be safe and wheelable. just have to put in the bar behind the seat, mount seat belts, clean up some wiring, finish belly skid and a bunch of little crap that I am not even thinking about.
