watched some of the run on Utube. what an absolute blast... do you think I can do that in my jeep or does it need a bunch of modifications to gears or suspension? Seems like it could go the way it is. Can you go up there and run the trail before a competition?

Not sure exactly. they do have some safety requirements listed somewhere on there. I printed them but didnt' have a chance to read it yet.

I printed out the specs, need a helmet and additional safety bars, no glass in the windows. Doesn't look like that much. thanks.

So now I'm wondering How far I can stretch it? Ideally I want to stretch the front as far as possible and not so much for the rear. That way the motor is centered a little more within the wheelbase.

you dont want to throw it too far forward some is good but to much takes away from traction on hill climbs

Having a tranny built in Westminster, ordered it today. Opted for a TH400 that will mate to a 203 transfer case. Opted for the low gear set for a 2.75 1st gear, reverse manual valve body. I will be doing a chevy 203 to ford 205 doubler. I know it's heavy but I'm not in it to win, just to compete and have fun without worries about it falling apart on me. Shopping for a shifter now and looking for a 203.

It will be a heavy SOB but if your driveshafts can hold up you will be able to treat the CJ just like the YJ. 9
