| | Looking great, another step closer. I'm glad you posted pics of the rear winch. I just inherited an ATV winch from a family member and will be installing it in the rear of the jeep. I will likely copy your design if you don't mind. Will you be moving the fuel filter away from the winch a bit? One tip I found useful with the Atlas is once you have it filled to the right level put a zip tie around the clear plastic tube to mark the level. I found that with the axle winch in the front of mine it has so many windings that the cable is starting to pinch on the spool. I think I'll be taking some of the cable off and use cable ties to secure it. Looking great! |

the rear winch works good, i dont mind if you copy it, and its not as close to the fuel filter as it looks. i got 2 quarts of gear oil with the case, that should hopefully fill it up. the fluid is supposed to be about half way up the sight tube, correct? _________________ what are vicegrips

| | yes, mine is clocked just like yours, almost flat and the fluid is about 1/3 of the way up the tube, maybe a little more |

| how come you mounted the lower shock mount so low on the axel? I would think you would run into some probs with draging it across the rocks. _________________ "A yahoo made dangerous with power tools"
