| My favorite trail story happened at Paragon the last weekend they were open. I was in a trail group of about 10 vehicles. My ex-bro-in-law and I were among only four Jeeps in the group. As we traveled around the 15,000 acres, I watched a totally stock Chevy S-10 almost rollover backwards, a totally stock older Ford Explorer get stuck in a 1' mud crossing. And I saw LOTS of bald tires! Folks, don't go wheeling with BALD TIRES!
Anyway, As we were ending the trail run, I was dared to go through a 3 foot mudpit! DARED!! I saw a brand new totally stock JK go through it like a hot knife through butter. I then watched a Toyota SR5 w/ 38's go through and get STUCK! The stock JK pulled him out!!
As soon as they were freed, one of the trail guides told me it was all mine! My wife got out to watch my nephew so my E-B-I-L could take pix. I told my two boys to hold on and then I floored it. I got airborn as I entered the pit! The mud washed over my LJ as I trudged through the rocks, mud, snow and ice! I almost got stuck at the end, but after carefully manipulating my Jeep, I got out with no help. My wife told me that when I got stuck at the end, someone yelled out to get the tow straps. My wife yelled, "No! He'll get out if it kills him!"

| I found some old Paragon pix. I even found some surprises. Like...

 My ex-bro-in-law's Jeep.
And the lady that took my pic...

Here's the mud pit I went through...

| Nope. I was there almost every weekend for about 7 weeks before they closed. It sucks but Rausch has come along way since then. _________________ 2008 ADA run - Trail Master (all questions welcome)

| That's cool to hear. I haven't been to RC in over a year! (I know, don't laugh. It's pathetic!) I was supposed to go last month but I hurt my back and my Phisical Therapist has advised me to refrain from said activities...
