| Well, I am glad to hear you got home OK, man I was worried when I could get a hold of you. I think you might want to get an old pick up and trailer that thing around to the park, just in case. Or a trolley. Sorry I couldn't be much help. I hate lossing touch with members on the trails and more so, not being able to use our resoursess to aid the problem.
I would still challenge their desicion on the axles, who told you they couldn't cover it? The dealer service writer or the factory rep? Write to Chrysler Jeep ask through their forum for help. _________________ MRR-Founder/President Mid-Atlantic-FWDA-Vice President Sales Rep for Adams Suzuki/Used Cars-n-Trucks Cell 443-865-0504 myspace.com/marylandrockraiders |

| The raffle mistory; Understand that this was a fund raiser, the pourpose is to raise money for research, thus like gambling, you got to beat the odds the only way to do that is put the odds in your favor, he bought $400 dollars worth of tickets, that means he had a got chance in winning one out of every 2nd or 3rd draw. Much like our friend Randy Woods last year, he too bought 100 tickets, and like Greg took many prises too. Randy having his own store, was more than happy to re-donnate some of his winnings. But in all he play to win and you shall win.
Then again, there were a few people that bought just $20 bucks worth and got a good return on their investment. By the way, Greg did give back some items to the club for future local raffles. I like the 50/50 deal and think we will incorporate it durring our trail meets. We can put that money aside for a pickNickor something. _________________ MRR-Founder/President Mid-Atlantic-FWDA-Vice President Sales Rep for Adams Suzuki/Used Cars-n-Trucks Cell 443-865-0504 myspace.com/marylandrockraiders |

You seriously think jeep should cover that? 35's and a detroit locker, when you lift and modify your vehicle you take responsibility. |

I look at it this way; If you don't ask you won't find out how far you can push the limits. With the proper words and structured approach anything is possible, right. I am always an optomistic person. _________________ MRR-Founder/President Mid-Atlantic-FWDA-Vice President Sales Rep for Adams Suzuki/Used Cars-n-Trucks Cell 443-865-0504 myspace.com/marylandrockraiders |

| remember that trail rated badge doesn't mean anything. I know for a fact that they only cover things that break under stock specs. unless you know the service guy. A detroit and 35's (though trail rated) does not fall under factory trail rated specs. Hell if you just up size the rims, it voids the whole driveline warrenty from tranny to axels if they really wanted to push the issue. _________________ "A yahoo made dangerous with power tools" |

| Everyone is also not remembering that its a DANA 35 aka TURDY 5, aka the glass rear. Its a serious POS, look at Tico snapping axles. Its not worth the investment. I tell everyone that has one "unless the parts are cheap dont bother" I have a 8.8 and anyone of us can buy it and install it for less than 500 bucks. Cheaper if you do your own fab work. They are common with 3:73's and 4:10's great swaps for most TJ's and YJ's oh ZJ's also. _________________ 94YJ locker/spool, lifted 37" MTR's lots of cool stuff (Trail rig) 00WJ open/open, lifted 31" MTR's (curbcrawler) 84 Toyota Pickup open/welded, 33's solid front axle and rusted frame 07 FORD E350 SD (TOW VAN)

| Got to look at the jeep tonight got all the mud off first. Found the slave cylinder over extended. I thought this was all it was NO the clutch fingers seem to be push in and staying there on ther own. I found no mud in the bell housing so it looks like a clutch job will start this weekend. _________________ 81 cj7 258 HEI, MC2100,Clifford header,4WDH 4" lift, 33" tires, T-177, D300, 4:10 gears, aussie locker front and back, Toyota axles, Longfield 30 spline chromoly superaxles, BigDaddy rockers,Mastercraft seats, Full cage

| | I have never had any luck with jeep warrenties. Even when my jeep was the same as when I bought it. Looks like it was a good event. What was the final total. |

| Last year we had a different arragement, this year they generously donated $180.00 to the club ($5.00 per driver registered for the ADA event) However, next year we will have another arrangement with the park. For now the plan is to continue with this event at the Park and make it a 2 day event, and the date for it has been selected as September 13th and 14th 2008. See web page under the ADA Page. _________________ MRR-Founder/President Mid-Atlantic-FWDA-Vice President Sales Rep for Adams Suzuki/Used Cars-n-Trucks Cell 443-865-0504 myspace.com/marylandrockraiders |

| Do you think this will overlap the big dogs main jambo event again? I don't know how they schedule and if they try and select a similar weekend for their events but it would suck if they overlapped again next year. The ADA seems like a great event and well organized and the donations from sponsors was awesome, but aren't we missing out on a big chunk of the wheeling community scheduling it over one of the biggest northeast events all year? I'm sure there are many complications and other events at Rausch that conflict and it is no easy task planning an event like this, but I was just wondering if it was decided to plan over big dogs and use the ADA as an alternative or if there was an attempt at another date? Point is, it's an event I'd like to attend and I'm sure I'm not alone but Big Dogs only comes a few times a year and Rausch is always there. Great job on the event though this year, it seemed very successful and I hope it continues to grow! _________________ '92 YJ 1.5" RE SOA, 2" body, 37" Krawlers, D44 ARB, 8.8 ARB 4.88s, 4:1, Poison Spyder Hi-Steer, On-board Air |

| Thanks Nick, I appreciate the comments and the concerns. I am sure that this will continue to be an issue in our circle. The reason I selected these dates is not because of big dogs off road event, GOD knows I would lobe to go too. But when planning an event that will repeat year after year, you want to select a targeted date that is consistant year after year. This way people can plan around that date. When the first date was selected, Big dog was not an issue, Almost every weekend in the month of september has other charity event planned of a function of some type, thus why I selected this time frame. So there are no confussions as to dates, I am planning well in advance now, organizing the 2008 starts now. Letters will go out to venders and the ball will roll.
Yes you are right, Big Dogs is a seasonal event and is sought out by many, but the ones that attend that event by the most part are going to be the big rigs and hard core folks, It's not an event to draw the adverage families we have in the club and the sorrounding area. If I have miss judge I will reconsider the date. I am all for popular opinion when supported by all members of at least 2/3 of the membership.
Sorry, got winded. I welcome these concerns and am willing to express opinions and accept advice. Already had several members make good recomendations for next year. Like posting some one at the gate with their vehicle and a sign advertising the event. A banner advertising the event for the tent. And in general advertising via the various boards on the off road network.
Thanks, for the input. _________________ MRR-Founder/President Mid-Atlantic-FWDA-Vice President Sales Rep for Adams Suzuki/Used Cars-n-Trucks Cell 443-865-0504 myspace.com/marylandrockraiders |
