| Well, I have recovered from my days run at the park on Sunday, man there were 13 of us riding and we had loads of fun, mostly kept in the south property and ran the tomb stone trail, 25, 22 snake bite and the query. We were all doing great, managing the trails as we do; few hang ups and nurtured a 06 Rubicon that came from NJ. that is until after lunch, on the way out I trail guiding and took the side trail just after the Query and was going to run up this little hill, well that is all it took for me, unreal zing that I broke my 5150 on the driver side before somewhere on the trail, there was a large CRACK! oooopss there goes my driver side axle again. Damn, I was just happy to be ridding my Chillipepper Wrangler. With some good thinking and passed experience John ran to the office to get the steel roller bar to keep my tire from exiting its tube, but that didn't work to well. Lt. Dan to the rescue got 2 huge timbers and some straps and patched it up, field tradition style. Picture to follow.... The group was patient and accommodating to the situation. Once geared up with that make shift modification we headed back to the main office and ran it back into the trailer. My day was done but i got home safe.... I would like to say many thanks to all the riders that were there both to help and ride, I appreciated your friendship. I saw Kat and Bobby but they decided to ride with someone else....looked like bobby busted her rear diff gears. The group stayed and returned to the trails as I made off towards home. I'll download the pictures and videos when the opportunity is present. That’s a great way to begin the year, eh.... How about others that traveled on Saturday on the trails...any stories to tell? Damn, broke the same axle again.

Are there 2 dana 60's front and rear? What type of gears ration does it have? Does it already have the mounts to switch into the TJ? And of course how much for the Dana 60 (2)? |

i was talking about the 8.8 axel which is the rear. If i remember corectly you have 4.56's so you will have to regear it but you wont have to worry about new rims and tires because the 8.8 uses the same bolt pattern as the rims you have now._________________ "A yahoo made dangerous with power tools" MARR step up or step out my name is joe and I am an abuser of jeeps. |
