PostSubject: NOV 1ST SUNDAY RUN (VON AND KAT'S RUN)   Mon Nov 02, 2009 8:52 am

WELL it was interesting, was only me and kathy on this one, but we took some young pass., it was kathy's neice (i think) jordan, my daughter and son this time joey and mckenzie. so we did some blacks that were not tipsy, and parts of tombstone. we did big rock first then milkshake. boy was that deep. kathy has the video of me on that, I WOUND UP STALLING IN IT DUE TO THE MUDDY WATER SATURATING MY ENGINE FROM THE FRONT WHEELS, 4 SHOULD OF HAD MY FRONT FLARES PUT ON, BUT I DID NOT EXPECT TO RUN THAT HOLE asdyuysigidfdjbisd . long story short, kathy winched me out and we got it running again and went on with the day. HAD A GREAT DAY, until my throttle stuck and i took a tree out, which tore my front tire up and broke my right steering arm. again kathy has pics.. all in all...... THE KIDS HAD A GREAT TIME THEY SAY. THAT WAS THE GOAL 9

I had a great time! The request at the beginning of the day was for mud and we gave it to them. I can't tell you how many times I drove through that mud puddle at the playground on the Power Line. They wanted to go through it faster and faster and the higher the med went, the more they screamed. rabbit I talked Von into going through the Milkshake and we have decided to wait until the end of the day for the deep mud from now on.

After Tombstone, we went through the bowls of Boot Hill (Bill, you'll be happy to know I kept all 4 wheels on the ground this time. jjjjjjjjjjj) and then through Fire Pit. The girls were a little nervous on that one but they didn't scream or anything.

The throttle issue was a bit scary. I heard him coming behind me and then saw that he wasn't stopping. I hi the gas to get out of his way and then tried to move over to let him pass. We felt a bump and figure he must have hit my tire with his because I couldn't find any marks on the body. The he heaed for the trees. Poor McKenzie - she had just switched seats with Joey & had only been in the buggy for about 5 minutes when that happened. Shook her up some (as expected) but after the tire was changed, she got back in with him and she wants to go again. mbn He took out 2 trees, the one that is cracked in half and the one that is on the passenger side fell when he was backing it up. Most imporantly, no one was hurt.

We got back to the parking lot and the kids wanted to see the comp course so I drove the 3 of them through parts of that and gave Von a lift back to the parking lot on the hood. He said "Kids, don't try this at home".

The kids had a great time and we did too because of them.

the throttle situation happened so quick, all turned out ok in the end though, b-4 i head out again i will have an automatic shut off strapped to my wrist. to ensure that in panic situations the rig will get shut off, should be good for roll overs as well.
