Two things folks, I e-mail you guys throught the MeetUp Site, and I have only 4 replies, sadley this is saying to me that you are not getting the information or you are not interested in replies. I don't know what else to do short of putting this in a news letter format. Please re to the Questionair on MeetUP Site.

Second is the interest in Tellico, many of you love this place to wheel, if you don't take an interet in protecting it, you won't have it any more to play in. Read on.

Tellico OHV Area is under siege
by the anti-access Southern Environmental Law Center, Trout Unlimited and others. If you want to wheel Tellico in the future, then you need to GET INVOLVED. Get angry, write a letter, send emails, send a donation. Tellico is YOURS and someone is trying to take it away from you.
How can you help?
Read about the changes to Tellico that the Forest Service is proposing.
Get angry.
Donate to "Rescue Tellico Fund" to help pay legal costs.
Write a letter to the USFS opposing the recently proposed changes to Tellico OHV Area in the USFS "Scoping Letter"
Write a letter to your US Senator or Congressman asking them to stop the USFS from taking away what is yours at Tellico OHV Area.
Fill out the University of Tennessee Tellico Survey below and mail it in!
Read about the proposed changes and timeline below.
June 24, 2008

Blue Ribbon Coalition provides an online letter writing tool which goes to the USFS in response to the recently proposed changes to the OHV Area. Please use it to send your own unique letter. Its easy, its not a creative writing contest, and it takes only a few minutes. Please submit your letter prior to July 9!!!!
June 17, 2008: Please fill out University of Tennessee OHV Survey !

Here is the Cover Letter, describing the survey and here is the survey itself. Please fill out the survey (filling out the survey can be done online within the Adobe Acrobat Viewer and then printed, or else printed out and filled in by hand) and mail to:

Tellico OHV Recreation Survey
Dept of Forestry, Wildlife & Fisheries
The University of Tennessee
274 Ellington Plant Sciences
Knoxville , Tn 37996
PLEASE NOTE: The surveyor we met at Tellico told us that they get almost ZERO cooperation from the OHV crowd, and tons of cooperation (ie survey responses) from the fisherman. Lets CHANGE that.
June 9, 2008: Tellico Scoping memo from Forest Service

Memo is here. Read it, please.
Scoping map is here.
Here is the Upper Tellico Proposal from the Forest Service. This opens a 30 day comment period prior to the Environmental Assessment and the official comment period after that is finished. They plan to have the final decision by end of Sept.
The "Open House" on the 28th in Murphy is just that. An Open House. No presentations. They will just be there to answer questions about the proposal. Here is the flyer on the "open house".
Here is the link to the Forest Service info

One of these days I would like to wheel Tellico. Maybe in the spring if it isn't shut down.

I was wondering what would have to do with tellico and be member only. This should be something that everyone is able to see, and like nester as may people as we can get to see it.

Well I know many of you dont do alot of web surfing or just dont have time but doing a quick run thru pirate4x4.com will keep you informed with all the latest trail new and the quick and easy things that most of us can do to help. Believe it or not but E-signings, emails and the web rallies that they hold do help show the amount of people that support this sport. Tico does a good job passing on info its just another thing we can do by spreading the work as much as we can. Strength in numbers.
