This is a question from my sister about a friend's Jeep:

We have a 77 CJ7 that the engine has been upgraded to a Chevy 360 that
is bored out a couple of thousands. Everything ran fine at this point.
After that a high performance cam was added and then it started to
overheat. The under hood temps were getting way to high. The temporary
fix was a 2" block under the back of the hood to extract the heat. It
has a 2 core radiator in currently and we have heard that this
overheating is fixed by installing a 4 core radiator. Is this true or is
there another way to fix the heat issue coming from a performance engine?

If they replace the rad make sure they buy the chevy conversion so the pipes are on the right side A 4 core copper should cool it or a full 2 core aluminum & check ignition timing

ditto with above. if timing is right and engine is running well then must cool better. with new radiator. Also make sure he still has the fan shroud in place or has a good electric fan mounted directly to the radiator. Should he remove the thermostat to make sure it isn't sticking closed?
