PostSubject: Last Minute New Year Wheeling Trip   Mon Jan 04, 2010 12:04 pm

Well a few random conversations led to "hey lets meet in reading friday put our shit back together at the shop and wheel all weekend". I got my parts last minute for the arb and we decided to give it a go. Matt and Nester and Emily were up on thursday for nye and Bill got into reading at about 6 on friday.

Matt and I each had to replace the spare shafts we had in the 44s and I had to get a new seal housing on my arb. We didn't get started till about 3:30-4pm because we were moving a little slowly for some reason LOL! We were wrapping up the ARB job by about 9ish sometime had the tires on and ready to go, tested the arb and it was pissing air like crazy. I tore the whole thing back down thanks to encouragement from Bill and it turned out the seals tore when we were pressing the seal housing on. The press in our shop is cocked a bit and it didn't press on straight so I think that's what f'd us. Luckily i had other seals and we slapped it all back together pretty quickly. We were out of the shop by about 11:00 lol.

Next day there was a wind chill of 8 degrees!!! After not being out since October it felt good just to run anything. It was snowy but not as icy as it is sometimes. With more traffic that will change. We didn't really run anything particularly hard but covered a decent amount of ground. We ran the new Cemetary trail which was pretty sweet. It's gonna be fun in the dry because there's some uglier sections you can get into.

Sunday Matt and I just ended up wheeling because Nester had some sort of an abrasive material in his sloppy vagina. It was DAMN cold I know that much!! Matt and I covered a ton of ground. Probably would have been like 3 days of wheeling but then his fuel pump took a shit all the way down at Roxy's Way. We rewired it and had fuel pressure again but I'm suspecting that maybe it just wasn't enough. Sucked because I really thought we fixed it! Before that we ran O trail, checked out CV where JP mag was with Zach from A to Z and the BMJA guys. Headed over to south property and ran out to stout cut back through to rock creek, up rock creek to 13, did the first section of otter's, jumped into 16 where I'm now 0-2 on the obstacle near the exit. Shot back up to the quarry ran through there, headed for roxy's way and then it was a long tow back to the trailer.

It was great to get out. The cold sucked. It wasn't bad while wheeling. The drive sucked donky balls. Sorry I bailed on you guys on sunday but the drive took a extra hour cause the wind was so bad. The jeep kept getting blown in to other lanes and on the shoulder of the road. I think I should have just towed the jeep but the ride home would have been just as bad. The wheeling was good and the party was a blast.

yeah you are right joe, unless you have a moron that punctures the oil pan of our 2000 year f750 dump and ignores all the warning lights. asdyuysigidfdjbisd all the money for that truck in the 2 ft snow is lost to get the engine repaired.. but we still made alot of money with about 16 trucks out 9
