warning when visiting this forum?

Suddenly when I click on the forum shortcut I get a message that pops up:

Whats up with that?

I'm looking into it now. There have been reports in the past of phpBB forums being vulnerable to attacks, however, it is pretty old news. I'll make sure we're running the latest version of phpBB while I'm at it.

It sounds like this warning is just a general prompt from anything that contains fileden elements.

From Google Safe Browsing page:

"What is the current listing status for fileden.com?

Site is listed as suspicious - visiting this web site may harm your computer.

Part of this site was listed for suspicious activity 3 time(s) over the past 90 days."

fileden.com is a site with a lot of file storage where users trade pirated software, files, porn, music, you name it, all of which can be infected.

Our images and forum elements are stored on fileden so that's the reason for the prompt.

I don't see any reason to worry. If others are seeing anything fishy please post it up.

FYI i just deleted a Chinese spam post.

Yah, when I was on the admin panel the other day I noticed a few guests logged from chinese ips. Fucking gay.

I'm keeping a close watch. phpBB is pretty good with security issues and seems to catch most security threats. They update regularly and seamlessly. Spammers are going to get through from time to time and I banned the user that registered with the spam you removed Bill. The last one was actually automatically picked up and banned. Anyway, as I said, keep me updated if anybody else notices issues.

Everything is backed up on a regular basis so there is no worry of losing anything. If the forum is infected, which I don't think it is, we can always backup to an earlier time before there was an issue.
