I know it looks cool and will ride smooth. Nice part about a Honda is they are head ache free bikes. I still have a soft spot for a Harley.

While waiting for a haircut, Popular Mechanics had an article comparing that, a Victory Vegas, Suzuki something, and a Harley FHLLSUDXCX something.

End story was that it was the least expensive, slowest, (i think) lightest, but also easiest to ride of the quartet.

Saw one at the bike show in NYC the other week, it's a pretty nice looking bike... and one I may consider for the wife to learn on.

The Dark Red did look purple in the right light. The 2011 models only came in matte orange, white or silver. I read that article and you are correct. I did get to see the bikes in person and compared it to the 1300c, the Sabre and the Star cycles. By far the Fury was my favorite for riding position, comfort and styling. It was really hard to choose between the Fury and Sabre. The Sabre felt heavier although about the same weight and the riding position was not as comfortable. I felt like I could ride the Fury for a good bit before getting uncomfortable. Didn't have to lean down so much for the handlebars. Ended up buying the 2010 model so I could get black. Will be available on Saturday.

Thanks for the offer but I've had my license since 2002. Might have my brother-in-law drive it home for me though since I am still on restrictions from my hernia repair.

Elva was trying to convince me we needed another economy car. I thought it was a good opportunity to get a bike again. The Fury is rated at 46 mpg. It was an easy sell. Of course then I had to let her get a puppy.
