PostSubject: Wheeling in late March?   Wed Feb 09, 2011 10:53 pm

I know its a long ways off but would anyone be interested in wheeling late March or even early April? I know Ice breakers is the last day of April. I just want to get a feel for who wants to do what?

depends on weather and if I have the CJ back or not. If I don't have the CJ then yes it is possibe, if there is big snow then even more possible.

Around March 23rd I have no restrictions. If we get heavy snow the weekend before this then I'll be there.

Race practice is now scheduled for the 26th, Saturday. CJ may or may not be ready. Dropping it off this Thursday the 17th. If the CJ is ready then I plan on Wheeling after race practice and again that Sunday. Anyone in for wheeling on 26th, 27th?

I would love to do some birthday wheeling. I'm neck deep in a gutted town home that is getting all new trim, doors, new walls, floors and kitchen. Its good side work that will sure up the bank for a good while. I'm all about wheeling Big Dogs in April.

buggy is coming along slowly, i took it in to work so that i can weld on it after hours when i get time
still have to;
mount winch (more welding)
install all winch power lines
weld and support main cross bar that the control arms mount to on front
weld all control arm tabs/mounts completely
weld support on rear axle axle housing for control arm bracket
fasten/check all bolts on control arms, tranny mounts drive shafts
weld rear coil mounts completely
install the 1 inch spacer's on rear coils
mount/weld all shocks mount brackets
install/weld limiting straps on front and rear
fasten/support hyd. lines from getting damaged on front axle
fasten/support rear lines for the steering
weld up rims
check and tighten lug nuts
fill propane tanks
install head lights and some bling bling lights
make skid plate (not that impoprtant since i am around 31 inches to bottom......at least for this run)
mount rear tire carrier for spare ( if i have time)
....this is all i can think of for now....i am sure i am missing something
