Wheeling and race agenda for 2012

Alright people, getting close to that time again. I'm planning a snow run and hoping it will happen soon, just itching to get out there! First 6" snow at Rausch will do it. If you are looking for something to do then Danny will be coming to my house Sat. Jan 15 to fix some steering issues, installing a heavy duty tie rod assembly. Hoping someone throws a party soon, miss everyone.

January 14 - Danny's mini work party to replace tie rod setup at Bill's house
First 6" snow will bring a snow run at Rausch

April 28-29 - Big Dogs Icebreakers

Damn line mountain screwed big dogs

So what's the plan you guys? How many are still in for Big Dogs and how many are for the line mountain? I had fun going to the race last year so if everyone is bailing on Big dogs. Life is still day by day here for me so I'm not banking on anything really. I figure like last year I will make a odd number of events depending on time. It sucks cause BD events is really when we all get together. I'm game if everyone wants to plan a big group trip to RC for a weekend of wheeling or wheeling after a race on sunday.

My plan is to race line mt AND go to big dogs. I just gotta keep from taking myself out of the race by pushing too hard.

The line mountain during ice breakers is the one at RC, which has been my favorite race so far. So I wont be at ice breakers. The june line mtn is the week after RCQ. If we skip any to go to big dogs it will be that one. It sucks I was really looking foward to doing more rec wheeling this year. And like you said nester big dogs is when everyone gets together. We'll see how things work out hopefully we can all get together

damn that sucks but the up side is the trails wont be as crowded at big dogs With as much as they charge for big dogs i'll probably only be doing june and sept.

does this line mountain race have all the rules , regulations and rig requirements as other races......or is it just more of a all who wants to join race.
just currious, but would my rig pass the inspection......you do say that most people do not even finish the race anyway!!

You would have to add stuff like window nets and cut off switches but the rig should pass. Line mtn is very tight, any wider then bill or Kim's rig I don't think it would be doable. the main trail isn't bad but when it gets plugged up with broken rigs the bypasses get tight. Fast steering is helpful too. The line mtn at RC should be wide enough for you. The entry fee is cheap and its a lot of fun but hard on parts. You have everything from stock Jeep to VW buggys.

so you think if i am to do any race...... the one at rausch this april is the one to attend......
do you need a main battery disconnect or will an engine shut off be ok? (i have a shut off installed all ready)
you do not need a covered roof on this one do you? is there a place that i can see the rules for this particular race so that i can determine weather
or not it is worth trying.

the dates on their site are not updated.......i might try this just for the hell of it because i am now on a scheduled charter fishing trip for sunday that weekend ....
so i will not be at big dogs .........how many mile is this race in april, and is registration sat morn. at rausch creek (we do not have to pre-pay..right?)

The LIne MT Race at Rausch is the 28th of April. The schedule at the top of this post is accurate. Race is like 35 miles or so, register and tech when you get there.

Either Friday or Saturday morning

sorry all, but i will not be able to attend bigdogs or the races at this point. i was going to come up to watch the race at the very least,but our fishing trip might of just been moved to sat.......if anything changes i will be at rausch to watch everyone
