| Just wondering if any one has any real world information/experince on building and cost of them. I think Bill has one that he bought for $3000 or so. | |

| also what do you all think about throwing in a 5.0 motor in the zj. I have one that I could pull out of an f150. Do you all think it would be worth the effort. | |

| go with the 5.0. the cost of the rebuild cannot be recovered with doing a stroker and the power is not as great as what you can get from the 5.0. Plus if you go with the 5.0 you won't end up saying later "wow I could've had a V8" | |

| Build the rig with the 4.0 for now since its plug and play. Then later down the road (next winter) do a motor swap. I'm all for the 5.0 swap in the ZJ but you will spend alot of needed time working out the bugs in the motor when you should be working on the cage, long arms, axle mounting hardware and skids. | |

| well stated Eric. BTW the stroker will cost more than you think. upgraded injectors are a must, high performance water pump to prevent overheating, etc. motor swap at this stage is not needed since you still have a working motor. I swapped because I threw a rod which busted the cam and block. | |
