| Ok so it looks like Warn does not have the replacement axle shafts for the D35 full floater kit. They sent me a blank shaft to send to a machine shop. I have a Ford 8.8 out of a 96 Explorer and ordered the M.O.R.E bracket kit, e-Brake conversion, and adapter for the yoke. I am working on stripping the brackets off the 8.8 now. I know Joe had said he could maybe help, what dates work for anyone willing to help. I should have all the parts and stuff by the middle of next week (3/5) I will have plenty of Beer and food for anyone that can help or just wants to show up for moral support. I can bring the Jeep to someone elses house / shop / garage if that makes it easier.

| I'll make you a deal, i'll put your axel together if you give me a hand putting my motor in. Next weekend isn't going to be to good because i'll be putting my rear axel on. But the following weekened if you wanted you could bring the jeep and axel over my shop and while i'm swapping motors I could help/point you in the right direction with the axel swap. This way we could help each other out on the parts were two sets of hands are required. | |

| Good move that rear end isn't worth another dime. Set up a date and I might be able to come out. | |

| that sounds good. I will definitly give you a hand with the motor.
Just a warning on the axle swap though.... I DON"T KNOW CRAP ABOUT WELDING.
Joe - are you talking about the weekend of the 8th?
As long as I have the brackeets from M.O.R.E. by then that would be perfect.

| Besides grinding off the brackets and sanding the rust / junk off the axle tubes, what other prep work needs to be done? (I know stop at the store and get beer) | |

| Is it the same gear ratio? In the event the brackets don't come in why not do this at Nesters wrenching party? I'd love to come down but the 8th I have family coming to visit. | |

Yes the ratios match 3.73 When is Nesters? I must have missed that thread. I was hoping to get a locker for the 8.8 before the install but since I cannot get the replacment parts for the warn I have to move up the time line if I plan on wheel'n soon.

| It would be not this comming weekened but the following. I think nester is having a wrenching party the following weekened. A few people are getting together to work on their junk. I'm going to have to pass up on that party do to some other obligations. | |

| No it is a open carrier. He also had a LS 8.8 but I figured that it would be better if it was open.
I think I am going to save up for a eaton E locker I think it was $699

That would be great. The Jeep is in PA at a friends house right now. Did not want to drive it on the front axle all the way to your shop.

| Got the tracking # and I should have the parts on Thursday. M.O.R.E> has been a great company to deal with. I hope the parts live up to the quality of the service.
So the 8th looks like a good date.
