Weekend of the 13th works well. I'm in. Now lets start to work out the details of what the trip will entail.

Day run? or over nighter? I like the day run but if the mass wants a overnight run we can try that too.

My preference is for 1 day run. we could end the day with a picnic or with finding a diner somewhere to eat together.

Okay so here is my idea. I think that there are some that want to do a long run and those that might want to a short run. Since there are a couple of ways to get on to skyline drive this is what I'm going to do. I say that for those that want a long ride we start off I-64 exit 99 outside of Waynesboro, VA. For those that want a shorter ride start at skyline and 211. 211 can be reached from I-81 or 29 via Warrenton, VA. The meeting point for the two parties can be a small town off 211 there is a ton of little antque shops and road side stops (I will figure the name of the town its on the warrenton side of 211. Once both groups meet up we will head back up the mountain and ride skyline drive to Front Royal where we can all figure on where to eat dinner. Its just a idea but this is one that could please to mass and allow for some to make this a two day event. If we do this on a Sunday I know a great Bed & Breakfast for saturday night if anyone wants todo that. I'm thinking about it. Also for those that have families or have trailer rigs this doesn't have to be a "JEEP THING" It should still be nice top down weather so those that want can but I know that there are other that might want to bring the larger car. So let me know what you all think and we can work from here to plan the weekend of the 13/14

We are in... I will probably just drive my truck and not the jeep.. Not sure if I am going to tag it yet..

I will be the chase vehicle and can carry any supplies for everyone..

Nester, get me the name of the bed and breakfast.. I havent been to that area since my grandparents were living.

Ok I am very confused or just lost...This thread shows the Skyline drive run on Oct 13 and 14 and then on the meetup site is a trail run at Rausch for the same weekend..

That may be the case as it may fall on the same date as a usual monthly trip. Many of us are still doing skyline drive instead of a meetup ride.

Nester, since you have the lead on this skyline drive meet, why don't you take the charge and coordinate it. I have corrected the Meetup board and directed the efforts to the Skyline drive. If you need assistance let me know I will do what I can to help.

Your project run with it, make the call and set your pace. You got my support.

Please list the following:
Meeting location and time. Preferabily also provide the directions there,

Area Hotel or camp sites

Nearest bank and food store and well you know the drill.
