| | I have a set of steel rims that came off of my axles. I think my friend wants them though for his dodge. but if he wants them. I can get the ones he is taking off the dodge for ya. The problem with mine is they don't have a safety bead. When I wheeled with them I blew 2 beads in one day with 12psi. I will talk to him and get pics |

| matt the reason you blew beads is that it was prob. a 16.5 rim. bill you do not want a 16.5 rim, ask any tire shop. on that particular rim it does not have a proper rim seat like a 15 16 or 17 inch rim. i guess for on road or a mudder it it ok, but if you choose to air down it is a bad idea.... i just ordered a set of 8 lug 15 inch conversion wheels from eaton for my buggy project it was about $310.00 shipped i ordered then so that i can use my existing 17x40x15 monster mudders on an 8 lug wheel _________________ DONT FOLLOW ME!!

| They are 16s with out the safety bead. the safety bead is the little hump that keeps the bead seated that most rims have. I wouldn't recomend mine for anything but mock up and for a tow rig honestly. I keep my tires at 25 on the road I went around a turn really fast and it blurped out a lot of air. The ones on my friends dodge are 16's also and do have the safety bead.

| i guess it could of been the tires, that s$cks. when i get my big tires under the buggy, i might have the 16 inch rims that are on there now available, it could be awhile though _________________ DONT FOLLOW ME!!

| Waldo , Q-bird or Tom, Why arent you all over this subject.. Isnt that what we pay you for... safety bead: The raised area circling the rim slightly inward from the bead seat. The safety bead is required on all street wheels to prevent the tire from slipping off in case of deflation.
Sorry, I had too... _________________ Best Quote "BACK UP, TAKE THE SKIRT OFF AND DRIVE" ---taken from KGB/CREEPER member.

| nice. guess its better to go light with these rims considering I'm thinking high RPM use and quick blasts of power. Doubt I'll be wheeling this one in the rock garden or anything like that but you can bet I wont be able to resist a snow run, hill climb or mud run once its done. _________________ http://www.mymudspace.com/Rockn93yj |

| not worried about blowing a bead but why invest into something that may have issues. I'd like to be able to run 12 psi without beadlocks if I can. _________________ http://www.mymudspace.com/Rockn93yj |

| 12 psi is easy. I run 14 psi with my 15X10's with 37's and with the 35's and 15x8's I ran them at 8 or 9 psi with no problems. Without beadlocks you will blow a bead here and there but its not normal. _________________ 2008 ADA run - Trail Master (all questions welcome)
