Does anyone know exactly what size socket to use on the pittman arm nut on an 88 YJ? 1-1/4" is too small; 1-5/16" seems too large and 32mm is just a little too tight. Any help is always appreciated.

Thanks,
Tom

most the stuff on jeeps is mm. if 33 is a little to tight try to clean the junk off the bolt or just tap the socket on with a hammer.

Clean up the nut and make sure you have a pitman arm puller.

I thought it was a 32mm. I normally use the SAE six point because all my larger metric sockets I keep at work. Its a loose fit but there is enough there that is shouldn't round it off. I have also used a pipe wrench and a long cheater bar before, not the best but it worked.
