| all right i'm looking at getting some new seats for the zj. I'm looking for some decent waterproof seats that are the 5 point harness style and are about middle of the road for cost. When it comes to this type of stuff i dont no to much about it so if someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. | |

| Funny you posted this.. I am pulling my doors off the xj today and I started looking. In the past I have always run Corbeau but I would also like to find something alittle more economical. I know Chris Lloyd was thinking about seats. Anyone else possibly interested in a group buy?? | |

| I have been eyeing up mastercraft$$$. looking PRP's also but the mastercrafts have some stuff I like over PRPs. I think the only ones that are weather proof are the plastic or aluminum ones. But you can get covers for them for when you not in them, but they're $$$ too. | |

| checked out the mastercrafts and the corbeau. i have to say the mastercrafts are sweet but look like a little more money then the corbeau. For mastercrat i was looking at the rubicon and for corbeau I was thinking baja ultra. What do you all think? | |

| I researched this back in march and got some feedback from other clubs. I liked the baja ultra SS. Here is the link with some feedback. http://www.marylandjeepclub.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=11209&start=15&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=seat | |

| If going with mastercraft the rubicon would be a good choice because of the lower sides. it would make it easier to get in and out. I am planning on door bars so it would't matter for me, it would be a pain in the ass to get in either way. The prp's are about the same price as the corbeau ultra's but PRP have more options. | |

| depends on the price we could get but I might be up for a group buy. I hate the seats I have in the YJ. I have been thinking about the dirt cheep seats from JC Wit and how long they would last. http://www.jcwhitney.com/Jeep-Shop/GP_2015962_N_111+10201+600027425_10101.jcw That price is for a pair | |

| I did see those but they are fabric and not waterproof. Considering what I'm doing with the CJ i'll probably need vinyl seats to clean the mud off with a spray hose. Seats like those are already price very low so i doubt there will be much benefit to a group buy on that one since the profit margin is quite small. thoughts? | |

| You are right about a group buy on the JC seats that i would say is the bottom line price. They would not be waterproof but my seats now are not waterproof but that would be nice sometimes. I will have to see what deal we can find before i make my mind up i think. I agree you will need a super waterproof seat ( maybe a waterproof you to ) | |

| They have the reclining version for $20 more but they do not tilt forward to access the rear. http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Product/Pr-p_Product.CATENTRY_ID:2007299/c-10615/Nty-1/p-2007299/Ntx-mode+matchallpartial/N-10615/tf-Browse/s-10101/Ntk-AllTextSearchGroup?Ntt=seat
Just a warning though I have read in another forum that they can be a little tight at the shoudlers. | |

| Nick had a great idea. Checking vehicles at big dogs for racing seats and actually sitting in them to try them out first. Means we might want to actually get to a morning briefing early. | |

| The only benifit to buying the seats through us is we are cheaper than advertised prices that i have seen online. There is no shipping brake if a large # of seats are ordered, this is because PRP does not give us a shipping brake so we can not pass one on to the end buyer. These seats would also be shipped directly to the purchaser and we would never see them.
