| ... WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM FRIDAY TO MIDNIGHT EST FRIDAY NIGHT... SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS OF 4 TO 8 INCHES ARE EXPECTED FROM THIS STORM IN THE NORTHERN PORTIONS OF THE LEHIGH VALLEY... AS WELL AS THE NORTHERN PORTIONS OF WARREN AND MORRIS COUNTIES IN NEW JERSEY... WHILE 3 TO 6 INCHES ARE EXPECTED IN THE SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF THESE AREAS... INCLUDING THE I-78 CORRIDOR. SOME FREEZING RAIN IS ALSO POSSIBLE. THE FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING COMMUTE WILL BE GREATLY IMPACTED. THIS STORM COULD BE THE MOST SIGNIFICANT WINTER STORM OF THE SEASON SO FAR. A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW... SLEET... AND ICE ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. STRONG WINDS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE. THIS WILL MAKE TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE.   | |
