Traditionally, CORE is going to be on the trail somewhere on New Years Day each year. Many clubs have trail rides that day and call them Hangover runs.

We call ours Grandma Holman's Ride as my family's lore includes a firm
belief from my grandmother that whatever you do on New Years will be
repeated throughout the year. She manifested this by avoiding tasks she
didn't like to do.

I am organizing a trail run to Green Ridge State Forest (in the western part of Maryland) and including an invite to our fellow MidAtlantic Four Wheel Drive Association members.

Prior CORE runs to this area can be found on the club web site at:

This is NOT hardcore wheeling. This trip should be suitable for ANY stock
4x4 and is primarily a scenery kind of run.

There will be 2 meeting spots. One will be at the Waffle House in Urbana MD (Exit 26 off I-270) Thursday (Jan 1) morning between 8:00 and 8:15 with plans to pull out no later than 8:30. Folks coming from further west or from Northern VA may prefer to meet us at Sideling Hill Center on I-68.
Estimated time of arrival at Sideling Hill is about 9:45.

Sideling Hill Interpretive Center. This facility is located on I-68,
approximately 10 miles west of Hancock in Washington County, Maryland. The Site offers spectacular views and geologic history of the Sideling Hill Cut.

The interpretive center, located along the westbound roadway is connected to parking and restrooms for eastbound traffic by a pedestrian bridge. Ph. (301) 678-5442.

If you're interested in coming along, please reply with a likelihood of
attendance. Thanks!

As always, Guests are welcome. Please download the trip waiver from the
CORE website and bring it along.

Greenridge is a fun place. I remember going there when the jeep was stock. we camped and it just so happened to be when the trout stocking. We had a really good time.
