| This weekend I had planned to fix the broken bell housing and remake the belly skid and add a full engine and trans skid. Long story short I got a little carried away. I ended up doing instead -got rid of all A/C crap -changed belt -got rid of all evap crap -replaced t-stat -repaired damaged radiator and cleaned mud out of it, hopefully takes care of overheating issue -removed trans and t-cases, t-cases out the top -repaired d300 shifters -rplaced bell housing -stripped seats and roll cage, had to drill every factory bolt on the roll cage -re-wired battery to move into back So things I now have to get done -build cage -mount seats -rewire evap crap (have to figure out how) -rewire some of dash -reinstall trans and t-cases -make a new skid and trans mount -change fluids -redo floor (not necessary ) -exhaust Time to kick it into bill speed or atleast close to it

| thing that suprised me with cage work is how long it takes to weld it all together. At least a whole day. And those off angle joints can be a bitch sometimes. you can do it. | |

| what we should do is all of us get together one weekend and blow it out with all the tools and knowledge we have.
2 people laying it out 2 people bending 1 person notching and cutting 1 person handing out beer
The following day if we put two welders at it we could finish it pretty quick.

this is one case where "will work for food and beer" would be ok with me. CJ would get done a LOT quicker. I've got room and a big grill so if you guys want to make this happen it is fine with me.

| I think it took me almost 3 hrs or so to weld just the outside part of my cage. The whole garage thing works for me. | |

| let me know when/if you want it to happen. this weekend is best since the next two weekends I'll be at the beach. then aug 22, 23 is also good. aug 29/30 is good but the 30th is the frog eye mud bog that i plan on running. pushing into sept 5/6 is fine as well if you can't do it before then. | |

| Speaking of which, I put your business name and phone number on marr4x4.com in the news and events section. I slapped it up there for now but also plan to add Randy Wood. Bill if you're interested in putting a link and add up for your site let me know too. I might scratch the "contact us" page and make a page for resources/sponsors type of thing. I don't want to hijack this thread, just let me know. | |
