| Thursday "eveningish" is my goal. Hell maybe even earlier depending on how the old man is. Don't have the woman to hold me up anymore! | |

| I am sooooooooo ready. I even dreamed about Big Dogs the other night. You know you are ready when you are dreaming about it. The Jeep is ready except for a few minor things which I'll take care of this weekend...one of which is getting the MARR 4X4 decals on the windshield (the big letters that came with the skull and crossbones on my hood). I took off the M-N-M a few days ago. BTW - what trails are we putting down for registration? I know we ususally do our own thing but some days we go with a group. Should I just put 8 & 9 all 3 days? | |

| I'm going to register today. Yesterday I welded the bumper, put the tire carrier back on, moved the spare from the roof back to the carrier, and repaired the hole in my exhaust (at least I think I did). I reinstalled the rear seat in case anyone ends up needing it and brushed out all the sand from JOTB. I put the MARR 4X4 decal on the windshield - it's big but looks good. I think the only thing I have left is to screw the rear part of the front tube fenders back in place or weld them if I have time. I may have figured out how to fix the bend in my soft top frame so I won't have to replace it. I might work on that and get the soft top back on if it looks like it's going to rain this weekend. Other than that...I'm ready to and at Nick falling down! Can't wait! | |

| Our plan is to bring the CJ down on thursday and get there around noon or 3. Use the CJ thurs night, friday and friday night mud pit. After the mud pit we will likely haul the CJ home and get the YJ for the rest of the weekend. CJ rides rough as hell and can't ride that all weekend. | |

Von said my normal passenger isn't coming this trip so my seat will be open. If Von or Jon break down then they will ride with me but other than that she is more than welcome to my right seat. ELVA - Since it has rained all but one time you've been at Big Dogs, you must be the one bringing it. You better leave those thunderstorms at home or we are going to ship you back with the CJ.

You'll be right seat through the mud pit in the CJ too! That side doesn't get as muddy.

| I successfully repaired the soft top frame last night. I cut out the part that was irrepairable and got all of the other bends out using the vice. I used a piece of conduit that I had around the house to replace the part I cut out. It fit inside the old pipes but wasn't snug so I wrapped it in tape first then drilled through both pipes and bolted everything in place. Naturally it took 3 times as long as it should have but I only threw it twice in frustration. My plan for today is to get canvas to patch the holes in the soft top and put it back on the Jeep so everything is covered. The zippers for the windows are still busted but I'm thinking of trying to attach the windows with velcro...but not for this trip. Anyway, Matt - if I get this done, do you want me to bring my bikini top for you to use? It will at least keep the front seat area somewhat dry. | |
