| I have a new wire winch cable (21/64" x 100') and roller fairlead to sell if anyone is interested. I bought a Bull Dog 9500 from Randy to replace the Warn that was acting up...yet again. I kept my synthetic line so I don't need these. | |

| The Warn had a bunch of problems (sad to say). First it kept blowing the "in" solonoids. After replacing the solonoids yet again (at $25 each) and verifying that they were all working and the motor was getting the 12v it was supposed to, it was apparent the motor was busted. I had already replaced it once a few years ago. Also, as we were winching the Jeep onto the trailer at BD it wouldn't stop when you released the button and Von had to jump up and put it in freespool to get it to stop. Finally, when I went to take the synthetic line off of it, it wouldn't freespool. I had to use the Tahoe to take the ENTIRE line off (and yes I had the handle in the freespool position - checked it 3 times). Oh, and one of the bolts that run through the motor and connects it to the winch snapped off inside the winch end.
I've already put a couple hundred dollars into it and was tired of throwing money and time at it. Talked to Bill and Von about it and decided to replace the whole thing with a Bull Dog. | |
