| Spent a good deal of time yesterday trying to break the safety bead on the walker evans beadlocks to swap rims. Hammer and iron, hi lift jack, and even ran over it with the excursion without luck. Threw them all in the truck and brought them to work. Took the tires to a local mechanic and his machine just flexed the tire over but couldn't break the bead. Other mechanic in town was off til monday. Then was told to check with Trey Myers. Who? Trey Myers, he drives the Iron Warrier monster truck. He lives on the same block as my Brunswick Physical Therapy clinic in a house tucked back in the woods with about 5 garages. Never knew it was there. He had an old tire machine in one of the garages that he used for the monster truck tires. Still was a bear to remove the tires off the inner safety bead but he had it done in an hour. gave us time to talk about our toys. His are way cooler than mine. Last year he traveled to 63 shows with the Black Stallion racing team and just got back this week from Nova Scotia. He also has a mud rail that does 2 second runs through mud pits AND drives a rocket powered ATV! He was really excited to hear about the Rausch Creek races. For more info on him see the links below. http://www.vatersmotorsports.com/jetquad.htm Iron Warrier Trey myers profile | |
