| I've got an LT1, complete harness from Jim's performance. Going to remove the chevy 454 and install the LT1 in front of the TH400. I've read that the flywheel may not work with the TH400 torque converter and I'd have to use a TH350 torque converter or "slot the holes" in the TH400 flywheel. Also it was recommended that I get a higher speed stall converter. The one I have is 1200 stall and it does over power the brakes when in 4:1 (effectively the stall is reduced to 300). Also need to figure out the motor mounts. Need a new fuel pump since going to fuel injection. Going to need a new exhaust built. Need to order a mounting bracket or kit for the power steering pump for the full hydraulic system. missing anything? Kim's has an LT1 correct? Love to have pics of the motor mounts if so. | |

| Measured yesterday and it looks like there will be room for the radiator up front. radiator inlet and outlet are backwards though. fan mounting might be tricky. | |

| Race practice saturday went well, sorta. Suspension works well and needs no further adjustments but it is still overheating. We found that we can run at a steady pace and sorta keep the temperature under control. oil pressure is dropping again. close to 0 oil pressure at idle but climbs to about 15 with 1k rpm. Doubtful it will complete the race but we will take it easy and run it til it goes. Nick will take the CJ with LT1 to Chris's shop just in case he has time to swap the motor out. | |

| I would not know what to do if we didn't wait to the last minute to finish things before a race. Charlie's buggy was the same way. I spent ALL weekend with Dave Smiley working to get his rig ready to run next weekend. Its still got a long way to go. Good luck guys. I hope to see you out there Saturday.

| Chris and his crew have been very busy. LT1 is in physically but still a lot of work to finish the install. Wiring, exhaust, plumbing sensors and switches, new throttle cable etc etc. Front end is way lighter than it was and now sits about 1.5" higher than the rear. Thanks for working this into your busy schedule. It is greatly appreciated.
I still need to make adjustments to the suspension, adjust the transfer case shifters(hitting the tranny shifter), fab up a spare tire mount, and mount some tires on rims when they arrive. | |

| WAHOO! Leaving at 8 tomorrow when the boys get on the bus so I'll be up there around 11:30ish. Thanks again Chris for getting this done in record time. I'll bring my checkbook. Got 2 KRTs today. Going to mount a spare on the back somewhere. probably gonna have to adjust the springs since the front is so much lighter. | |
