ECORS had a venue bump on them, and has revised their schedule for the year.

http://www.nc4x4.com/forums/showthre...418#post868418

note the dates are the same, but venues have changed.

*Check out the season closer!*

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I wanted to post up our schedule and offer up another thread to ask some questions or post some additional information since reading through oome of the other ones can take some time.

We had a venue bump us on a previously scheduled date so we had to update the schedule a little. Good news is that the venues and dates all remain the same, we just flip flopped the venues and dates around a little

April 30, The Great American Park, Auburn,AL
July 9, Carolina Crawlin', Spartanburg, SC
August 27, Devil's Playground, Silver Valley, NC
November 5, Windrock, Oliver Springs, TN

April 30, The Great American Park, Auburn, AL.

I can't wait. It will be a mix of terrain there WITHOUT mud. We will have pre-running open on Friday, as always. Saturday is race day for all classes. The park will be ours alone, so we don't have to worry with other "riders" in the park. Saturday night there will be live music in the pavilion. Camping is allowed and we encourage everyone to stay and enjoy the Saturday night festivities. We are a family group during the day and encourage that. But, after the kids are in bed, we all like to enjoy ourselves The music Saturday night will start around dark and we'll have the awards in an intermission in the music. So, hang around and enjoy the show!

Registration opens April 1. Rules and additional info can be found on our website. www.ecors.com

July 9, Carolina Crawlin, Spartanburg, SC.

Carolina Crawlin' is a man made rock course at the Spartanburg Fairgrounds, sitting in the infield of the old 5/8 mile dirt circle track. This facility has been used in WeRock and XRRA in the past and makes for a great show for spectators and is camper friendly. For this weekend, we will be working with several locals to develop a "short course" to concentrate competitors and have some good action for the spectators. This will be racing in front of a grand stand! We are working to utilize all areas of the facility and include previously un-used areas of the fairgrounds to lenghten the course. Specific format of the race will be announced at a later date as we work out the final specifics with the grounds operators.

August 27, Devil's Playground, Silver Valley, NC
This facility is private property and is the home of The Mud Devil's 4x4 club. The landowner is gracious enough to allow us access to this land for our event. It is small, but offers a variety of options with course and is very popular with racers and locals alike. The course is generally set up with a total lap length averaging about 3 miles. Creek crossings, jumps, tree dodging, open fields, and some good open rock sections are all offered at this facility. Make plans to attend this race as the locals tend to come out in full force to cheer you all on! Primitive camping available and RVs are OK but there is not power or dump stations. Nightlife usually consists of good stories around the campfire with adult beverages (waaaay more than 1 or 2... ) The format will remain consistant as in the past with a couple hours of endurance racing for all classes on Saturday. Pre-running on Friday, as always, will be open around Noon.

November 5, Windrock, Oliver Springs, TN
This is the event of the year! It will be our season wrap-up event and will be one for the books. Windrock has available a portion of their property that is outside of the normal OHV area that we will be utilizing for this event. There are miles and miles of trails and roads in this area that is normally off limits to the OHV users. So, by racing now, you will have access to some of these otherwise off-limit trails Camping is available, cabins, hotels, and full service RV sites are available at Windrock. If you haven't been, the camping facilities there are top notch!

With this race being our year-end bash/party/etc. it will be huge. For ALL classes, we will have this be a true endurance race. Class A, B, and U will be longer than the normal 2 hrs of racing and Class C will be approx. 6 hrs of racing, all on Saturday! Access to spectator areas by car, truck, or ATV is available.

But, there is more! For Class C, top prize will be $10,000!!! Of course, we need a minimum of 25 people racing, but as more sign up, the $$$ for each place goes up!

There is a catch! This races will be invite only and limited to a total of 80 participants in each class! If you are an ECORS season member, you are automatically invited and qualify for this race! If you are not but want a shot at $10,000, we will have applications available for download, fill out, and submitting them for an "invite" to this race! We have full commitment from Windrock for this race for 2011 and to help it grow every year as they have the land and resources for a top notch event! Registration will open up this summer so everyone can prepare their vehicles and get applications submitted and approved!

Thanks all for your support and we look forward to seeing you at each event for 2011!
