Let me know if anyone happens to have their old stock transfer case laying around or if you see one for sale on a board somewhere. Sounds like my Dad's blew up today in his '94 YJ (6cyl, 5spd). He thinks the u-joint at the rear pinion let loose and the driveshaft spun wild and screwed up the transfer case.
Thanks!
Dan

I went over and looked at it tonight after work and the cone shaped part (Where the SYE would go) that bolts to the back half of the transfer case cracked all the way around and sprayed the ATF everywhere. The driveshaft itself looks OK. He'll need to replace both u-joints, the yoke on the D35 and its straps, the muffler.

I found a np231 in Frederick for $75 that I'll pick up this weekend.

There is a chance I have those parts in my collection somewhere. I will look after work tomorrow and see what I find.

Thanks Nester.
Just looking for the yoke now - he bought the t-case last weekend. I'll look around at the junk piles at the york jeep show coming up for one if you don't find your old one.

Awesome - Thanks!
We were going to put a new pinion seal in there anyway - so that will work out fine.
Would about 5:30 tomorrow afternoon be OK? Depending on traffic that is usually the time I get back up here after work. Can you PM me your address?
Thanks!
Dan
