| Hello everybody. My name is Donnie. The first time I meet Tico he was on an unmentioned trail in Pa. a few winters ago. He had went down a trail that turned into a sheet of ice and slid down the hill and his Jeep was stopped by one rock a foot or so from a pretty nasty drop off. He had every strap and piece of rope he could get his hands on tied to trees and his TJ. I was in my YJ, pretty much stock except for the 30" mud tires and lincoln locked 30. I started down the same hill and got through the big rocks and came to the sheet of ice and decided I'd better walk it to see how far the ice went. That's when I noticed the straps and ropes and then seen his Jeep, I thought ohh sh!t. How the hell am I gonna get him out. I had a few straps and a hi-lift so we tried to remove him with that but all it did was pull all the slack and stretch out of the 4 or 5 straps. So I had no choice but to try to recover him with my poor lil YJ which I didn't think had a hope in hell but she did with less trouble than I could have imagined. After I got him to safety he was checkin out my YJ and noticed we had the same wolf sticker on our Jeeps and he said we were "Wolfbrothers", hence the screen name. I've run into Tico a few times since then, the last time was last summer @ RC. Sadly I couldn't remember the name of his club. Today I'm at the shop workin on fixin my exhaust leaks for VEIP and needed a break and was checkin out off roadin vids on Yahoo when I run across ticothejeepmans (AKA "Devil Dog") vids. Low and behold there he's got his club addy listed so here I am. My Jeeps grown a bit since that winter we first met and I'm lookin forward to meeting ya'll and possibly doin a lil wheelin with ya in the coming years. About my YJ: 91 YJ 2.5 w/4.0TB, Header, ARB Snorkle, 4" lift, 34x10.5 LTB's, Warn x8000i, SYE, CV-DS, Lincoln Locked 8.8, Posi-Lok, plus some home made goodies. I'm also a member of the Delaware Jeep Association. | |

| Welcome man. That story sounds like something I would hear from one of Tico's adventures. | |

Come on now, I done what any offroader should have done, I'm just glad you never got hurt and I was the first one there. But your perdicament that day was the deciding factor on which came first, the winch or the lift and tires. The last time I was there the locals had put up no trespassing sings at the big rocks so I turned around and haven't been back. I haven't even looked at your membership app yet, don't know if I can afford to join. I was hopeing you'd say I could come along on a ride with ya though. I'll prolly not be on here everyday for awhile, but I'll stop in once and awhile to see when your next trail ride is and see what I can do about tagging along for a day to see if I can hang with ya'll. Take care buddy, I'll se ya soon. | |
