| I guess you can call this the official announcement for the RCrocs series that will be held at Rausch Creek. Our plans for 08 will be to have a 3 event series just at RC. Each event will be one day only (sat) followed by a day of wheeling for those who choose to stay. The goal of this series is to bring back the comp guys who can’t commit the time for travel around the east and the country. Along with bringing back the old comp drivers we really hope this series will open the door for new teams to come in and experience the comp scene.
There will be many details to come and I am sure there will be many questions asked. Please understand this comp series is not about the money. Our goal is to get a “grass roots” series for new people as well as old teams a place to compete and hopefully get the bug to move up to the WE ROC series. WE ROC is 100% behind us and will help in any way they can.
The plan is to run the three classes that WE ROC has already in place following their rules and guidelines. The twist is RCrocs will add one more class to the series. What is that class? That question can be answered by you!
We will be having a one day comp on Nov 10th at RC. There will be three classes that day to see which one will be added to the series next year.
Here is a quick run down on the classes for THIS EVENT ONLY! Class one: 33’s max tire along with one locker Class two: 34-37" stocker class (suspension must be market available) Class three: 37 and above (any rig fits)
I know there will be a ton of questions and we will nail down the rules in greater detail but these are the broad strokes of the one time event this fall. Once we see what class has the turn out and most chance of sustaining itself it will be added as the 4th class to next year's series.
OH YEAH ONE MORE TWIST. For the one time event this fall we are only allowing drivers who have not competed in the past 24 months. The goal is let new drivers get their feet wet without pro drivers kicking them around. One more thing is the local PRO’s will be on hand that day to “mentor” the new drivers and spotters. http://www.rc4x4.org/rcforum/index.php?topic=300.0 | |

| this sounds like fun. I think i'll compete in the 33's and one locker class. You don't see to many people with long arms running 33's so I should have a good advantage. I'm just going to need to borrow someones 33's now seeing that I upgraded to 36's. | |

| I have to confirm the rules but I heard that the rules will be very lax for the first event but after that one they will follow the WEROCK guidelines. I would like to try it but my suspension is not of stock style and may bump me to the unlimited class. | |

| From Bruce:The plan is to make the courses hard but not to the point of lots of rolls. So full body rigs ...is OK.
We will have a practice day in the next few weeks so people can get a chance to see what the courses will be like.

| So how do you register? Registering for the one time fall event will be very easy. On August 29th the registration form will be on the main page of the RC website. You must print the form and fill it out COMPLETE and mail it in with a $50 check. No pay pal because some people don't have paypal. http://www.rc4x4.org/dep/docs/compreg.pdf
please pick several 3 digit number's to put on the application in the appropriate spot for your team number.
Once we receive your registration form and check you will be added to the list. To keep things equal we will keep registration open till Sept 30th to gather all applicants. If a class exceeds the allotted 25 vehicle's per class we will do a drawing (lottery) for that class.
If we do a lottery system we will start a waiting list. If your vehicle fails tech or your check doesn't clear the 1st person on the waiting list will be moved up.We will be having a practice day for drivers and judges sometime in Oct (date to come very soon).
Info on TECH Some of you may know Tommy who keeps the traffic moving in the mornings during check in. He will be doing Tech inspections at the office between 10am and noon each Saturday and Sunday. Please PM or email him savitskioffroad@yahoo.com to let him know you are coming. If you have any questions or concerns about the results of the Tech we can talk and figure out a solution (hopefully)
Again if you can't make it to the park before the event and you are registered for the event you will be rolling the dice the morning of the event to see if you pass tech.
General Rule's
NO person who has competed professionally, DRIVER or SPOTTER, may operate the vehicle, or be be a spotter. this isn't for you, this is for the new upstart's wanting to get into the sport. ( I.E. WEROCK, NEUROCK, UROC, EROC )
NO competition vehicle's in any street/super stock class. competition vehicle's may enter in Class 3 ONLY ( run what ya brung ) no matter what tire size they have Judge's and Staff reserve the right to disqualify any vehicle or person's from the event for any reason they feel is not safe or in accordance with the rule's. Judge's ruling is FINAL, no overturning of a judgement call unless there's a misinterpretation of the rule's. if there's a dispute over a call, time will be stopped and a marshall will be called to oversee the dispute if need be. No team can stop time of another team over a disputed call or ruling.
ALL rule's are subject to change without notice !
Safety All driver's must have a DOT approved helmet All spotter's must wear a helmet of some kind, motorcycle, bicycle, something. ALL vehicle's MUST have a fire extinguisher on board and attached to the vehicle in some manner ( zip tie's etc. ) and be readily available ALL vehicle's must pass a safety inspection prior to the scheduled date. you may however be tech'd that morning but you will lose the right to compete if you fail inspection and it cannot be fixed in a timely manner. please make every effort to make your vehicle safe. if for any reason there's a safety issue with a vehicle you will not be allowed to compete unless it can be resolved. NO bungee cord's or ratchet strap's holding down the battery or body panel's. the battery MUST be bolted or clamped in place properly. same goes for fuel tank's and fuel cell's !

| OK it looks like the practice day will be OCT 21st. The plan will be to have cones set up for all three levels. The courses will be ready for 10am so after checking in at the office head on up to the comp area and check in with the crew. We can go over any questions and rules that day that you may have.
The practice is for those who have signed up for the fall comp. SO get the form off the kitchen table and mail it in soon.
Thanks Bruce | |

| Jim Bowman and I are in, with Matt Moore as an alternate. Sent in the forms today to run the adrenaline jeep in Class 2. We will be out there Sunday for the practice runs and tech inspection. Pretty exciting stuff. They have extended the deadline for entries to Oct 21st, so its not too late for anyone else... Also if you are a driver in need of a spotter, I think Matt would love to play -Greg | |

| Yeah I picked 666 first but she held my application when randy wrecked the bronco. someone else picked that number. then I tried 999 so when I flip it will still be 666. that was taken as well so now i'm 696 I think. Randys bronco may be ready for the comp. | |
