Just got a 99 TJ, I had been wheel'n a Toyota Tacoma TRD and it was nice but.... always wanted a Jeep. Plus I had been coveting two I saw every Sunday at Mountain Christian Church so I got my own. One had a Maryland Rock Raiders sticker so I thought I would check it out.
Here is a break down of the Jeep
35 inch Goodyear MTRs on black stealies. Hard doors, Soft top with tinted
windows.
Driveline:
Engine is stock, with the exception of a K&N filter, and a Banks header. The radiator was replace last year with
a 3 core metal radiator.
There is a hand throttle on the shifter.
Transfer case is a 231 with an Advanced Adapters slip yoke eliminator and a Tom
Woods rear drive shaft. Front drive shaft was recently retubed.
Stock 3.73 gears
Dana 30 front, no locker.
Dana 35 rear with Warn full floater kit and lockright locker.
Front has rubicon express adjustable track bar, rear uses stock track bar but
has a rubicon express relocation bracket.
Suspension:
1 inch body lift
4 inch suspension lift: Superlift front springs and shocks, Currie HD rear
springs, Rancho 9000 rear shocks, nth degree shock relocators, Currie Anti Rock
front sway bar, Rusty's front lower control arms, and adjustable rear arms, superlift rear lower control arms. The shocks all have bar pin
eliminators.
Interior:
Cage: Toys by Troy sport cage with welded dash bar.
Carpet has been removed
Recovery and protection:
Custom Whaley Ent. front bumper with d ring mounts. Warn winch mount with Warn
M8000 winch, synthetic rope, and spider trax fairlead.
In cab controls for winch, solenoid mounted under the hood. Rear trailer hitch.
Warn steering box skid, Skid Row gas tank skid, Teraflex oil pan skid. Jeeperman
rocker steps (frame mounted, Sahara rocker cladding still in place).
Misc:
Rear flush mount LED lights. LED third brake light and side marker lights.
Small bolt lites for rear license plate lights
Warn 7 inch fender flares that have been painted to match the body color
I hate to say that I "bought it" instead of "building it" but I could not have done it myself for the deal I got on it.
I will be sending the application papers soon and look forward to wheel'n with you all soon. I am also a member of Christian Crawlers. I have been to Paragon (rip) and Rousch but only in the Taco, I have not had the opportunity to get the Jeep there yet.
