| I took the liberty to write up a message to our sponsors this holiday then personally address each one individually. The contents of that note goes as follows: Thank you for your generosity and for supporting the Maryland Rock Raiders Offroad Fundraiser of 2008. Your gift helps us greatly, everyone was able to not only enjoy the event but win something too. These gifts don’t go without recognition; your company’s name was placed on the back of the event T-shirt for everyone to see. Each year the Fundraiser grows and the sponsors find ways to help with more gifts. We are hopeful your contribution continues so we can keep this tradition alive until we find a cure for Diabetes.
This year we had an increase of 20% in sponsors and about the same in participation, an indication that diabetes is affecting more people than we care to acknowledge. So far we have been able to raise about $7,100 for the Diabetes Association over the last three years and we would love for you to be part of it. Please keep us in mind when budgeting for your 2009 year. We look forward to your continued partnership and generosity.
