There is a mountain on the way there...Black Mountain. It has claimed it's share of transmissions. Don't overload. No gas in the jeep, no water, beer, or other such heavy things, take your time. We pulled two jeeps with the F350, by the time we were at the top we were going at a smokin' 25mph.

After you go through town, the road is hilly and twisty, I am not sure how bad it would be for your rig. Mine had no trouble.

Well throw out a tow line for me. You can drag your rig and trailer and my rig...tow rig...AND trailer. Then it might start breaking a sweat or at least you'll know you have something behind you!

Andrea and I maybe able to see are way there. Things are not the best at work right now. So only time will tell if we can go. Any assistance I can give on this matter though just ask.

So bobbi made a good point this weekend. maybe we should just move our tellico date to the dixie run. I don't know much about it other than its in the early fall and its a massive party of wheelers. Sounds like a blast to me so I'm all for it.

sounds good, i guess we just have to find some more info on the dixie run now.

Well Bobbi is the only one that I know that has been to the dixie run. So maybe she can help us out.

We're offering a weekend of family fun and hardcore trail riding in the beautiful Smoky Mountains of western North Carolina. Upper Tellico ORV Area is located on National Forest lands in the Nantahala National Forest.

Sue has no vacation left so I'd be flying solo. If your planing this in the fall maybe by then I'll have the gears for my 35" tires installed.

I'm in 110%...my only concern is how many rigs the dixie run will draw? I was hoping to get a summer run in but it's not looking like a reality. It just sucks having traffic jams in the woods. But anyway...count me in!!

I'm still down with just getting a couple of rigs together and going down and wheel. i was shooting for sept. for this run.

Yeah it sounds good to me. Nick was it you that I talked about running guard rail with. I would love to run the Dixe Run but a bunch of us in one of the cabins at the crawfords sounds like a blast.

I should have all the new axels and tires,tranny ect. under the jeep by then so i'm down for what ever trail you want to run. how does the third weekend in sept sound to everybody.

Guys if you don't have a passenger lined up I suggest that you pick one that can pick lines and knows how to read a map.

Third weekend of Sept is bad for me. Business partner is going to alaska and I need to cover. Big dogs is on that same weekend in sept and will be the only one I get to this year. Dixie run is Oct 5-7. I think I may be out on this one for this year.

I'm definetley in but no BS - Tellico = hard trails requiring rigs built for difficult and technical trails. I'm not speaking from experience but from what I've been told they are very tough trails and that's what we're all making the long haul for!

Just for the record...I had NO body damage on my Jeep until Tellico last year. It's been downhill ever since. I would say that carnage is a guarantee.

Also, it's good to know that there is a lot of just trail riding between the obstacles. But the obstacles are huge!

I might make the trek out with everyone, but look for a right seat to spot and photo the carnage.

I don't think I will be fortified enough yet for this run. I don't mind the body damage, but it needs to remain driveable, and this might push that limit.

We will see how the summer progresses, but for now, right seat only.
