Trip to Gulches ORV Park April 09

I'm looking at getting a trip together to go to Gulches in April of 09. Leaving on Wed April 8th and return home on the 12th. From White Marsh it is 586 miles. Would anyone be interested ?

Mmmm, this means you'll be passing right through my home state of NC... sooo... it'd be pretty tempting to come with.
Either way, you shouldplan a quick stop to hit the Uwharrie Nat'l Forest on the way down or back. It's small and all the fun stuff could be done in a few extra hours.

what is the weather like down there in April?

Nice time of year. Startin gto get warm (60's-70's?) during the day, but still potentially nippy at night (40s-50s).
Also good chance of rain, that's kind of the wet time of year. Which from what I understand could be really exciting at Gulches. When it rains at the UNF, it changes on a dime from "brave stcoker can do everything" to "prepare for slip'n slide, stuckity, and body damage".

the biggest difference is the dirt - Carolina Clay just becomes nasty nasty mud, then once it dries on your rig its, well, pottery.
