I have some one going to teach me to rebuild jeep transmisions over the next few weeks. I noticed on ebay that freshly rebuilt trannys were going for about 900 to a 1000 with a $200 core charge. Local shops around here were quoting 1200 to 1500 for a rebuild if I pulled the tranny. $1700 to $2200 if they had to pull it. Some of the local junk yards quoted 400 too 800 for used ones. So i'm wondering what a fair price would be on freshly rebuilt tranny.
