| IROKs would be the way to go. The accurate sizing and proven dependability is why. | |

| I'm in the same boat as you when it comes to tires. i wanted krawlers but I can only get them in a 37" tire and i wanted to go with a 38. but It seems that the only thing that comes in a 38 are tsl or maxixis at around 550 a piece thus pushing me up to a 39.5" iroc or pitbull. i know bill said I should stick with a 37" tire but it seams that all the cool kids have around 40" tires. | |

| Joe I will say one thing if you wana enjoy RC stay with 37s 39s are not RC friendly this is my opinion but I have been there and when you go to a 39 it really takes the fun out of it.... | |

| Rob your a 100% right for short wheel base and lighter rigs. But I would think that Joe has his own challenges just dealing with the wheel base and weight of his tank. Maybe a larger tire would put him on a more even playing ground with those of us running a 37" range tire. | |

Agreed. For the long wheelbase he's got he really can't steer around in the rocky stuff as well as the short wheelbase vehicles and the longer wheelbase will drop tires in holes a lot easier leading to breakage. For the longer wheelbase 39's would be the limit to keep things challenging and not loose the fun.

| Bigger tire is OK at RC you just need to challenge yourself not to take the same line as everyone else.
I like the idea I can run the regular line with little or no issue but still be able to hit the harder bigger stuff if I feel so frogy.
FEELING FROGY JUMP !!!
GO BIG OR STAY HOME!!!
SIZE DOES MATTER!!!! | |

| you guys have hit it on the head with me always having to go over stuff or falling in holes. I really noticed this at big dogs on that last trail. Also with my weight when my diffs hang up i have a real problem. And let me tell you, my diffs have taken a beating. So I think I'm going to try to squeeze the 39.5 under the jeep and see what happens. Now the question is pits or Irocs? | |

| I was thinking pitt bulls also just because the seem to come a little smaller which i don't mind and would kind of prefer and that yours seem to do quite well in the rocks and mud. - onemoretime wrote:

Also to get back on the subject of the thread why did you decide to go with rock equipment coil overs instead of say fox or ballistic?
