| 1 day is fine I just didn't know if it was ending up being more of a pain in the ass on you this weekend. Time wise...I'd like to leave around 8:30 probably end up being closer to 9. | |

| Yeah I'm out for the month of March and most of April. I hope to get a free weekend to do a couple small things to the YJ for big dogs but they aren't needed for me to wheel that weekend. | |

| nope, looks like we'll be working on this next weekend as well. axle is out, old hardware is gone, new brackets are pretty much built now. Lost a lot of time making brackets. Nick was able to buy some of a hardware kit from downNdirty but they were the miss cut pieces and most of the bolt holes were tapered or miss-cut. Welded patches on the outside of the brackets to strengthen them up and prevent the hole from egging out. Did save a lot of tome compared to just building it ourselves. Also had to move the rear cage tie-ins to the frame. They were beside the frame and didn't leave room for stretching the axle. We moved them on top of the frame. fuel tank is out. All old hardware was removed from the axle. Nick cooked up some huge Ribeyes! Next weekend we'll be positioning the axle, mounting link hardware and mocking up the links. Then turn attention to the fuel tank install behind the rear seat and fixing the busted from leaf spring. It was a nice way to get off my restrictions and get back to grinding, cutting, and welding. Had a great time! | |

| Clean up frame, move fuel lines. Remove remaining E-brake lines Move muffler Finish bolting down cage Assemble mounting brackets and truss( don't weld fully, angle may change due to stretch) Position axle with correct driveshaft angle(7" stretch) Position mounting brackets Position coil buckets Mock up links with PVC or DOM Tack in upper coil mount, drop vehicle onto springs to check ride height, (adjust upper mounts to correct) Install shock mounts. If all is correct then fully weld everything. Rebuild driveshaft Install extended brake lines BLEED BRAKES ARB line
Replace front springs with rear springs Install fuel cell
Need 9/16 grade 8 bolts Fuel cell fittings (AN 8 female to 3/8 hose barb? Stock YJ fuel line to filter) Fuel lines(locallly)
RCI 2161 will mounnt behind seat if needed

| Made good progress on Nick's Jeep. Exhaust is modified, frame was cleaned, truss was built, link brackets were fabricated, upper control arms were mocked up, driveshaft was built and was looking good...then we realized that the 8.8 axle housing is off center, duh. stripped the brackets off, took it all apart to get the truss centered again and start over. lesson learned. | |

| Looks like I'll be back at it this weekend if anyone is available. CJ was still outside the F&S shop, still working on building the motor. My trailer is in the process of getting new axles. Both axles are bent and on the trip to get the cabinets from Kat the inner edge of the tires wore out and exposed the wires in one of the tires. started wtih 5 new tires last year and have 2 left that can be salvaged as spares to whoever needs one. Decided to go wtih 5,000# Dexter axles which means all new wheels and tires and brakes etc etc. Kat is getting my old brakes(new last year, Dexter brand). Probably scrap the steel for $. Axles will take 2 weeks to get to the shop, bummer. Can't use it to tow anything the way it is now. Plan this weekend is have the suspension complete and get measures for links, install fuel cell. That way Nick can have the links built and get any remaining parts needed to get it running so his next trip he can take it home. | |

| Did the ride back home with all the cabinets on the trailer screw up the other tires? Where did you find the new axles? | |

Where did you find the new axles? Tires were not looking good at all when I got home. went to a local retailer Trailer Enterprises. they've worked on my trailer before with good results. | |
