| Looks like it will be a "snotty race" as lou puts it. Lots of mud. Juggy is ready to race. Looking forward to seeing Chris Riley, Kim/Matt there as well. | |

| WOW, what a race! Ran a moderate pace first lap, followed someone that was lost through a bypass and burnt a lot of time. First lap 35 minutes. Second lap picked up the pace but still "moderate" and was making very good time til the hill climb. Hit the mud a little fast and tried to take the off camber center line since the right line was plugged, splash covered my visor and I hit a tree, backed down the steep hill and caught another tree. Tried to power out of the hole and dumped it on it's side, and the crowd went wild. self recovered with the winch and completed the lap in 35 minutes, even with the winch recovery. Third lap had electrical gremlins from the flop, tracked down a busted switch controlling the fans and a busted wire in the wire loom for the radiator fan. Fixed those and continued the 3rd lap at a faster pace, made very good time til a tree jumped in front of my passenger front tire causing the lower control arm mount to be ripped off the frame and the hydraulic steering ram strap to rip loose. Day was done. We used the recovery winch and routed the rope around the bumper so it would sinch down on itself, did the same thing at the axle and hooked it to the frame so the axle wouldn't move forward or back. Then for the steering ram we used ratchet straps to hold it in place best we could. Drove about 2.5 miles to get to the road only to find a backhoe coming our way to recover another rig. He hooked up to us and pulled us through a severe washout and out to the road. Myriah and Elva brought the truck and trailer down and the backhoe was used to load the Juggy back on the trailer. Had an absolute blast! Nester road shotgun this race, he will have to give you his part of the story. | |

| It was a tight course. Some trees were very close together. With bill and Kim probably being the widest cars there it made it tougher. As bill said some of them you kind of just had to just pop though. It was very slippery and rocky, so it was very easy to get off the trail at speed and hit the trees. We hit a few but got lucky that we weren't going that fast when we did. Right after we started we started passing people both broken rigs and slower traffic. With no horn we knew this was going to be a long day. We ended up with a flat on first lap about a half mile in and slowly changed it because we had trouble with getting the axle high enough. We finished that lap with minor issues. Then the second lap there was two broken rigs on the trail and we were directed up a trial that took us off course and took us back to a check point. The check point guy started yelling at us about cheating so I got out and explained what happen so he said ok and told us where to go to get back on course. That cost us about ten min. Third lap was pretty good but we hit a tree hard with the tire and we started hearing funny noises. Got out checked things over didn't find the noise but found the front brake line hanging. Spent some time fixing that then continued on hoping the noise didn't turn into something bigger. Then we came up on a 2 wheel drive buggy stuck in the mud. So we pushed him out of the mud. We spent a little too much time with that so Kim really picked up the pace. On to the last lap, Kim was on a mission. There were very few cars left moving on course but whenever we saw someone we did not wait for them to move over. We just passed. This made for a very fun lap, with some rubbing a bumping. We then came up to bill limping up a hill. Bill and nester were waving and looked like they wanted up to push them up the hill. They didn't really. I hope we didn't screw them up to much. Rest of the lap went quick with this being Kims favorite part of the course. We ended up finishing 6th. The car didn't feel great but it held together luckily because it got beat.

| Nice job on the finish, getting better and better. There were about 30 in the LWB class and only 6 finished. We were ranked 16. I heard that only about 38 finished the race? | |
