| First, hello to everyone. I have learned quite a lot by just looking over some of the stuff here. Great info to be had. Now some background I suppose. I am 22, howard county area. I am not new to Jeeps, had a 97 Sport couple years back, but I more or less grew up on Chevys. I bought a 2005 Wrangler Rubicon 6 spd few months ago. I havent been going too crazy with mods, mostly free stuff, because its still under warranty for quite some time and I have been having some issues with it. With that said, I do get it dirty once or twice a month, but making it all the way to PA can prove to be troublesome sometimes. Now for the question. Where the heck is there a decent dealer in the Columbia area? I tried the one in Catonsville, and even with knowing people there, I still got played like a violin. I went to the one in Glen Burnie, but thats who replaced a Trans for the previous owner, and didnt want anything to do with it I am about to try the one in Clarksville, but haven't made any apointments yet. I would perfer to find a mod-friendly dealership, but at this point I would simple like one that will actually do work, and call me before 4:30 to tell me whats going on... The other dealers have had my Jeep from 7:30 am untill 5 pm just to tell me nothings wrong, and I can take it home (meanwhile the rear main seal is dripping while talking to them). So... Where do I go?! | |

| Welcome to the forum, next is to join the club by visiting the web page and down load the application. Now for the mods, dealers as a whole do not want to work with MODs, they don't know and it's outside of the DaimlerChrysler manuals. You can do mods to your new rubicon, just keep them in check, by not doing crazy things. Some of our members can do the work very effectively, PM me later for details. | |

| Sorry, I should have probably mentioned :p I deffinatly know my way around a wrench. Im all about moddin' my jeep, but I have to keep it in check while I am under warranty (long long time). I just need to know where people are having good luck with dealerships near columbia, since I cant even get them to do anythign but feed me BS. I could go on and on about my experiences at Catonsville Jeep store (dont want to name names....) but its been in the shop 10 times in the last 3 months, and only had work done that I paid for (oil changes etc.). I guess Ill download that app, thanks for that advice. BTW, feel free to ask for an extra wrench, or 2nd opinion around the columbia area. I got no problem helping out, or giving my opinion if I am free | |

| Late respounce, but I have had some good luck at the Clarksville dealership. I have purchased 2 or 3 jeeps and cars from them and they always where pretty decent about service. The last time i was in we talked about sponsorship of the modified tj. They do have a few great mechanics that understand the off road world. I to live in Columbia. XJ Paul | |
